Other promoters have substitute opponents lined up for their PPV dates, so why does Tom Loeffler and GGG Promotions receive a free pass for not bothering to have one?

Maybe because they not use to PPV. Haha.. rookie mistake on their end.

Yeah you’re probably right, I suppose HBO and Tom Loeffler hasn’t been involved in that many PPV’s.

- Big Canelo fan, but agree that was too easy.
Still, fighting 3 months after back to back Golovkin fights is impressive not to mention becoming the highest paid athlete in all sports
. Yet Rocky was smiling when the ref waved it off.
Maybe Rocky froze in the spotlight, but good news is Canelo has an open date in May at MGM with no shortage of willing opponents.
Come to think of it he was smiling a lot. Was that suspicious?
I remember Beefy Smith laughing every time he was hit against Munguia.. but then again Beefy’s got that face.
That British feller, he got KO'd by repeated hard blows to the midsection. But he kept smiling. People who get KO'd by repeated hard blows to the midsection don't usually smile. Also his pre fight interview on dazn had the tenor of a funeral dirge. Suspicious?

How many ppv have you been involved in EO. You couldn’t get a job in the golden boy mailroom.

So if you can’t challenge the argument, you choose to attack the arguer instead?

The Brits was clearly wearing an ironic smile. It’s commonplace for many people to smile even though they’re in tough situations.
Please refrain from desperately searching for corruption in our beloved sport where there is none! There was nothing at all suspicious about Rocky Fielding’s actions.

Yes precisely what you’re doing to Tom loeffler. Are you developing insight or was that directed at me? If so, I said nothing to attack you. I asked how many ppv you’ve been involved in and also added the irrefutable fact that you couldn’t get a job In The golden boy mail room.

Yes precisely what you’re doing to Tom loeffler...
My criticism of Tom Loeffler isn’t based on hindsight. Instead, it’s based on anticipation, because I regularly criticised the promoter’s inability to organise a suitable replacement opponent for GGG from the date of Canelo’s adverse VADA drug test results being made public.
Read through my posts and verify this for yourself.

Quite right. Sorry about that, Mr. Haymon.

But, seriously, it was a mismatch and Fielding knew it. Aside from the smiling and the sad pre fight interview he put on an excellent show, far better than many pathetically acted dives I've seen in recent years. I'm glad he appeared to be fine afterwards and wasn't hurt.

Pathetic performance by Fielding.
The fight went how I would expect Conor McGregor to perform against Canelo.
