We know Chisora fights like this. He tried it with Usyk too.

Parker is a more skillful boxer, but somehow he often looks not impressive and only edges his opponents. So, I can't see Chisora legitimaly winning Parker, while I don't see Parker giving Chisora a lesson or whatsoever.

Parker will beat the shit out of him. just like he would of done to whyte had he not being headbutted. chis and whytes style works for Parker.

Disagree. Parker has better skills than Chis but he doesn't do well against fighters who come forward and keep the pressure on. I put this mainly down to Kevin Barry’s training so hopefully we will see an improved Parker under Andy Lee.

When has he not done well against those kind of fighter. Befor that head clash he was dominating Whyte (admitadly not long), he beat Ruiz (draw for me but still good) and beat taken. They are the only walk forwards guys of any levle he has fought. I’d say he does best against walk towards guys.

Ive not bought a PPV in years so never bother whats ppv and whats not but this is a horrendous PPV, Chisora 10 losses to his name albeit against top opposition and Parker is a solid Heavyweight but boring as fvck, the Fa fight was brutal to watch, hopefully Andy Lee can inject some enthusiasm into his boxing

I think Chisora wins this TBH, its a cliche but I think he'll want it more, his workrate and doggedness should see him though along with some of that good BBBC officiating, Chisora on points

Hopefully Parker wins though, seems a nice guy and Chisora is a bully

Joseph Parker reveals reason for trainer change ahead of Dereck Chisora bout

New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker 28-2 (21) has opened up about his change of trainers ahead of his fight against Dereck Chisora 32-10 (23) at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old former WBO heavyweight champion split from his longtime trainer Kevin Barry following his 12-round unanimous decision win over previously undefeated countryman Junior Fa 19-1 (10) at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand in February.

Parker deferred to his friend Tyson Fury 30-0-1 (21) when it came time to choose a new coach. The WBC champion is co-trained by his cousin, former WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee, alongside Sugarhill Steward.

“I thought about Tyson and the changes he has made in trainers so I sent him a text and asked if I could ask him some questions,” Parker said to the Daily Star.

“He gave me a call, he said he really rates Andy in the top three trainers he has worked with.

“With the names he has worked with, that is a great recommendation.

“The next thing I was on Zoom calls with Andy, three or four calls later we were starting to make this plan and six days later I was on a plane flying to Ireland, so things happened really quick.

“There was nothing wrong with the old camp, I just needed something different.”

Parker, who usually trains out of Las Vegas, says moving his camp to Dublin has refreshed the way he prepares.

“Tyson trains very hard. I thought that my level was high – well it is high – but when I trained alongside Tyson I could see the difference,” said Parker.

“Andy said it was a great move just to be around the energy that he has, just to see how he works.

“I did some body sparring with Tyson, he did 15 rounds one day, he is a beast.

“There’s something about him, his energy, it lifts you.

“I feel like we connected from the beginning.

“This feels like the beginning of my career again.

“I feel like you’re going to see a refreshed me.”

Meanwhile, Chisora says he would have won the WBO belt if he had the same chance to face Andy Ruiz Jr 33-2 (22) for the same vacant title in his home country that Parker had.

The Kiwi defeated the future unified champion by majority decision in Auckland in December 2019.

“If I had boxed for the title he won in New Zealand, I would have won it as well,” Chisora said to the Mirror.

“There’s not much really happening in New Zealand.

“If that fight was on a different continent he’d have lost it because when Ruiz was bringing the heat on and pushing the fight… it went Joe’s way because it was his show.

“But really and truly I’ve got respect for Joe and I don’t have anything bad to say about Joe because he hasn’t done anything bad in the sport.

“He has been given fights and he has fought those fights.”

It's a pretty horrendous PPV.

I dont this Chisora is an A side PPV headliner, so numbers will be interesting.

Poor Jonas' reward for a robbery (ok harsh term but most think she beat Harper) is a retirement fight vs Taylor.....Jonas vs Harper 2 needed to be made. Jonas should be calling herself a world champion, but its about levels here.

The only fight I am interested in is Bivol, just too see Bivol get some exposure

It will be very hard to wheel Chisora out again even if it is a close, but not controversial, lose.

With Usyk there are still some who think he can pose AJ and Fury problems....but Parker?

get chis and parker a draw, then can wheel them both back out as contenders

It will be interesting to see how Parker does in this one, he has been with Kevin "Robber Baron" Barry since his pro beginning. And to his detriment since the Huggie fight really.
If anybody can get 'the dog' into Parker, then he is a contender again.

Campbell will be fighting someone as low level as they can possibly get. He’s got an awful lot of developing to do.

Parker points for me with Chisora having a few good moments most likely early on.

I genuinely can’t remember the last time I was so uninterested in a Sky PPV.

Even the really poor PPVs (Haye/Harrison and others) had one fight I was interested in seeing. The main here, and undercard, are just meh.

Sky want Matchroom to put on a certain amount of PPV's each year, and that's kinda increased every year.

Knowing they're cutting ties with Sky, they're just putting anything on PPV

if parker doesnt lose here, do they make usyk-parker next? or would a whyte rematch be more likely
