100% true. He's only happy on the 1st of each month.
That is when 100's of rents come into his bank.
He's a sore winner. But for a split second tens of thousands of pounds add on to his millions - and he almost smiles.
That's why so many rich and successful people kill themselves then is it ?
Exactly...Gomez has always been a Frock bootlicker, but there is something really base about him just going on about his money, This whole idea that Carl just jerks off over his money like a messed up version of Scrooge McDuck in his money pool totally misses the fact that the biggest cause of depression for older fighters is the fact that they have nothing really to get up for in the morning, that the big nights are gone. Where is the spark?
Froch strikes me as money rich yes, but a man wishing he was still a fighter, hence he makes it all about him, even when he is on there to talk about a fighter who is following him into retirement. He is still in press conference mode.
It is pretty sad.
couldn't agree more I am at the stage where I am trying to make myself financially secure for the rest of my life - but the question is will that money give me happiness
deep for a tuesday!
I am playing the idiot as not on here that much...who are you?
It seems you are aware of the dangers so you can at least make plans to mitigate them. Good luck in both your professional and personal life, before and after your career!

I don't think he's bitter , he's just an ego maniac , everything he see's or does eventually comes back to himself , , he see's someone with 80 houses , he says , i'm better i've got 100 , see's someone with 120 , he says , i'm younger and will have 150 before i retire , Its that mindset that made him the fighter he was , , and just because he's stopped swinging does'nt mean , he's dropped the attitude and its the attitude that made him a great fighter .
Its apparant in his media job , sometimes you listen to him and think , does he know what he's talking about , and guess what he probably does'nt he's learning , he's high profile and they throw money at him to talk , , but he's learning , it would suprise a lot of people how so many boxers know so little about there sport , simply because they come and train , fight who there told to fight and simply don't care , some are students of the game , but an awful lot simply don't care .
Froch is'nt bitter , he's just simply Froch , i do suspect a lot is said tongue in cheek as well , he does give me the impresion , he can take the piss a bit

People seem to give Froch a hard time unnecessarily here.
Hr sometimes says things for a bit of attention, bit that is quite for a man in his position. He was once the epicentre of British boxing for a time, but now he is just a Sky mouth piece.
Lets not forget, also, that neither Groves or Degale (or Calzaghe, for that matter) were particularly complementary towards Froch when he retired.
Groves also had a few sly digs at Degale, but no one seems to mind that.
I appreciate Froch rubs people the wrong way, but I don't think he is half as bitter or nasty as people are making out.

Sky need to get rid of Froch. The guy has no clue about boxing. His reading of fights in commentry is utterly laughable and he regularly gives 10-10 rounds. You can usually tell how little someone knows by how many 10-10s they give.

nothing wrong with 10-10 rounds in itself but ive seen him basically give them out just so he doesnt have to give the away fighter the round. like a cop out. lol didnt he only give usyk 1 round vs bellew?
in general hes not too good on commentary. though ex fighters in general never really seem that good. few are. so many just come across as dumb and uninformed despite being in the game themself. almost as though they didnt care or follow boxing outside there own career.

You also have to appreciate the pressure from Smith.
I genuinely believe Nelson is a very knowledgable guy but isn't allowed to show it.
McGuigan also always used to sing to his paymasters tune!

The man himself puts the record straight
He says Degale lost to Jack...last I checked it was a draw.
Last I checked froch beat dirrell, doesn't stop people on here saying otherwise. You can't have one rule for one and then another for froch.
Regardless of the result, I honestly don't think degale has every recovered physically from the jack fight, his reflexes and timing were never the same and he seemed more slurry and forgetful in interviews. I hope he's got out the sport in the nick of time. I know he could rub people up the wrong way but I didn't think he was too bad a fella.

What are you talking about? Questioning a decision is a matter of opinion. Going on and saying 'he raised his profile even in defeat' just shows a lack of boxing knowledge as he has a fact wrong.
That isn't me having a go at him, it just plays into the narrative that Froch isn't really a boxing fan, he just has a job because he is high profile. Jim Watt, though I often disagreed with scorecards came across like an avid fan.
