rivas is blind to one eye?
Don't know if he's registered blind or not but he's had multiple eye surgeries, Unsure why he can be licensed here but not, for example, in California?

Didn't get Rivas' weight, but Dill came in a fat looking 260 LBS. Rivas by KO 11 if not sooner.

How come the weigh in was late? I know Whyte entered the shopping centre just before his weigh in, but usually they are around 1pm local time.
Not like HW’s are bothered bout putting weight on after the weigh in.

Pricie is looking pretty good. Thought he was during the open workouts, shirt off confirms it.
Whyte on the other hand...

Not too surprised at Whyte’s weight given he really let himself go after the last fight: he looked really overweight when this fight was first announced.
He could easily be 10lbs lighter. I still think he’ll deal with Rivas but if he wants to make the most of what is a short career, he may want to thing about being more professional in between fights.
Edit: Just saw how he looked it wasn’t that bad for him to be fair. I think he’s trained hard & will be in good condition. He’s just carrying too much fat having blown up after the last win.

Agree with you partially , he looked a right fat bag of mess when the fight was made but has easily had enough time to get into better shape , think it might cost him in the long run , but maybe the whole Joshua Ruiz fight has changed our outlook on body shape for good.

I find it hard to gauge how good Rivas actually is.
Yesterday I decided to rewatch his fight with Jennings (which bored the absolute shit out of me to be frank) and I wasn't overly impressed with anything he particularly did to be honest.
He's kinda plodding and his power doesn't seem particularly damaging outside of the last sequence of the fight where he gets the stoppage.
That said, having seen how Jennings performed against Joyce, who whilst not great, is a big old lump, has a great engine on him for a heavyweight- and is pretty heavy handed. It's got me thinking perhaps Rivas is better than I think.
I'm still not paying to watch it though.

If it’s a decent and positive opponent then Whyte should be in a good fight. Hope he’s maintaining discipline and concentration as he’s on one hell of a run for someone of his conditioning & talent level.
