Bivol is being made to look ordinary against a British domestic level opponent.
I’m not saying Dmitry isn’t winning, it’s just that he’s looking flawed.
Is Bivol the Russian equivalent of Billy Joe Saunders?
He only does just enough to win each round and he fights according to a similar level as the opponent he faces?

According to boxrec last time Bivol fought October 2019 if I am seeing that right, thats about 1hat 17 18 month layoff ? thats a long time to not fight and be sharp...

He’s competing against a British domestic level opponent that lost against Frank Buglioni and only had one extra fight over the equivalent timeframe of Bivol’s inactivity.
You’re excuses are a tad creative.
Bivol has underperformed. It would be dishonest to claim otherwise.

Its not an excuse I am not that vested in Bivol just trying to asses what the reality of the mans performance and who is ..thats all..

And by Canelo too.
Bivol’s high-guard and lack of punching power means he’s tailor-made for Canelo’s body punches.
Bivol doesn’t fight particularly well on the back-foot. He is less effective when he’s on the retreat, because he walks in straight lines.
And Canelo would almost certainly own the centre of the ring against the feather-fisted Russian.

Eubank Jr. is facing an opponent with a bizarrely padded resume.
I’m expecting a one-sided stoppage within five rounds.

It’s going to be tough stopping Morrison. He’s not throwing and he is constantly on the retreat. He has no ambition.
Morrison also grabs hold whenever Eubank gets on the inside.
Morrison isn’t throwing punches either. He’s in survival mode.
A very negative opponent that is incredibly challenging to look impressive against.
The ref has to stop this, Morrison isn’t punching back.
Ref’s need to stop fights whenever opponents are overly negative.
It doesn’t matter whether they’re hurt or not, but any fighter that won’t punch back needs to be stopped, because otherwise they’re simply punch bags.

If I was Golovkin, I’d eagerly accept an offer from DAZN to perform a voluntary defence against Eubank Jr.
Chris isn’t a boxer. He needs to overwhelm his opponents using his superior work-rate and athleticism.
Roy Jones Jr. is trying to turn a brawler into a poor replica of his skilful master boxer younger self.

Whoever is in charge of Bivol’s career, he or she couldn’t have done any worse. If you keep putting this kid in the ring with crap talent, forget about the detriment of not testing this kid enough to get him to rise to a higher level, it’s making him look so dull to fans and does zero to raise his public awareness.
Plus, one of these days either through a flawed scorecard like we almost saw tonight or through a perfectly thrown punch by subpar opposition, Bivol is back to fighting a few bouts before the one everyone came to see. Oh that’s tonight too. The kid should be a star by now.

Yeah, Bivol’s has sabotaged his own career with his recent subpar performances.
He’s feather-fisted, dull and often competes at the same level as his opposition.
