You'd have to fancy Saunders against him.

What is the point in watching this bollocks?

While watching we all knew the outcome, so predictable

Ryder won that at least 7 to 5. And 7-5 is from a perspective of a corrupt, lying, crooked, honorless, disgraceful side of a judge who should have make a decision tonight.

It will only take a well schooled American like Keith Holmes when he did for Richie Woodhall and Robert McCracken with their classical English styles. Stopped them both and he was a non puncher.

Fair point. I thought Saunders edged him and i thought Ryder beat Smith more convincingly than Fielding!!

Horrible decision IMO, I cant see how Smith won that and especially by they scores, disgusting, I had Ryder winning 116-113, he was better in most of the rounds surely, busier, more effective, I fancied Smith strongly here but he struggled all night, even when I had him winning rounds he never looked truly convincing, he struggled with the southpaw stance and small stature of Ryder all night, he couldn't get the jab off, was bulled up close so struggled to land the body, he conceded ground too easily and was backed up on the ropes throughout where he was always second best

Gutting for Ryder, he fought the fight of his life he made his disadvantages work for him, his tactics were perfect, get up close under the long leavers of Smith and get to work, spot on, as I say battered Smith on the ropes, hook around the side, uppercuts through the middle, banging to the body and just generally outworking and outhustling Smith, I thought hus defence was top drawer, great head movement , judgement of distance and he made Smith look wild at times and its not very often you see Smith flustered, Smith looked like he was starting to get to grips in the later rounds but Ryder finished like the winner for me

Shocking verdict. Shocked with Andy Lee, he obviously belongs to the Carl Froch school of judging.

Credit to John for a fantastic fight and for taking the verdict with dignity.

The whole thing leaves a horrible taste in the mouth

I wouldn't go as far as to call it a robbery but Callum is certainly lucky to be walking out of there with his belts. As for the judging, I have no idea what fight they were watching but it wasn't Callum Smith v John Ryder that's for sure.
