Haymon has never turned a profit. He burned through all the investor cash. The jig is up

They smartest thing he could do would be partner with dazn. The original intent of pbc was a streaming app with a monthly fee

Dazn lost more than he did.

Dear friends, I'm Mario Salomone, from the italian boxing website boxe-mania.com. Since boxing fans are protesting all over the world against the introduction of the bridgerweight division and since we are all sick of these senseless reforms made by the main boxing organizations that are lowering the credibility of the sport, I would like to make our voice count. I have just launched a petition on the famous platform change.org in order to collect the negative opinions of the fans and give a strong signal to Mauricio Sulaiman and to the World Boxing Council. Now I need your help to make the number of signatures grow. If you believe, as I do, that this changement is just another strategy to collect more sanctioning fees and that it could be harmful for boxing, please sign the petition and share it with your friends and relatives. Thanks!

Here is the english version of the petition: http://chng.it/QgmW2cGp

For all the world heavyweight title bouts Holyfield successfully competed in during the 1990s, he typically weighed 214lbs, with his opposition weighing 235lbs. They weren’t as big as the guys competing today. And if you excluded overweight opponents, such as Holmes, Foreman and Douglas, a typical Evander foe only weighed 226lbs.

It’s sad to say this, but Mike Tyson’s best wins during the 1990s were against Donovan Ruddock (1991); Bruce Seldon (1996); and Frank Bruno (1996). He simply wasn’t one of the best heavyweights from the last thirty years (if we're only considering Mike's career from 1990 onwards).

Deontay Wilder and Michael Hunter both weighed more than 224lbs for their most recent outings, with the latter achieving nothing of note so far at heavyweight.

And whilst Alexander Povetkin weighed 224lbs against Dillian Whyte, he usually enters the ring slightly heavier than that.

As marvellous a fighter Oleksandr Usyk may indeed be, he hasn’t achieved anything at heavyweight yet. He hasn’t beaten anyone of any note. He’s unproven until he faces Chisora.

In terms of Mairis Breidis, are you seriously awarding him kudos for beating Mahmoud Charr?

Are you seriously trying to pretend that it’s commonplace for men weighing less than 224lbs enjoying success against world championship calibre opposition entering the ring weighing roughly 248lbs?

You left out Riddick Bowe, and Lennox Lewis, amongst the Holmes,Foreman,Douglass list(Bigger Holyfield Opponents).

Current Top 12 Hw's
Fury 273
Wilder 231
Joshua 237
Povetkin 224
Usyk 217
Ruiz Jr 283
Hunter 226
White 252
Chisora 255
Pulev 248
Parker 245
Ortiz 241

Consider guys in the UFC 205 division are cutting weight from 220-225 lbs at least to make 205. Which would give us a cut off 244lbs to cut water weight.
Wilder, Joshua, Povetkin, Usyk, Hunter and Ortiz already weight less than that. White, Chisora, Pulev and Parker could all easily stand to drop a couple pounds or just cut a bit more water to make weight. Ruiz Jr could probably be under 225 if he was in shape. That leaves just Tyson Fury as the only guy in the current top 12 that couldn't make the 224 weight limit. Having said that against Klitschko, Fury weighed in at 247, while in good but not great shape so he could quite possible make the weight as well.

Retired "SHW's" Klitschko weighed 240 for his last fight and could easily cut 15lbs to make the weight.
Lennox Lewis fluctuated between 245-250, he could also make the weight if he wanted to.
Vitali Klitschko flucuatied about the same as Lewis so could therefor also make the weight.

So currently all the top contenders at HW could make weight with a bit of dieting and/or a bit of cutting. Fury may be too big to make the weight now but if he can get himself in the shape he was against Klitschko he could likely make it. So what's the point of this division?

It's crazy that they all have a combined 0 wins at the weight and it's not even certain that some of them could currently make the weight.

I really couldn’t care less how old you are or how long you’ve been following the sport of boxing.

You didn’t read my post, because I’d already explained the criteria for my calculations, which you blatantly ignored.

Hey rivas could surely lose weight and rule cruiser or gain a pound and whip fury

But instead he said "You know what? Im the man round these parts, if they want me they fight in my weight class" and the wbc realized a world without a division for oscar rivas was just a bridge too far

And here we are
