No surprise. He has been flouncing around like it’s 2019. Those odds are plummeting now.

:shame: Vaccination does NOT equate with immunity. I know several people around the planet who are vaccinated yet became infected. Two are fairly ill.

Inoue on ESPN
Munguia on DAZN

Teofimo wanted to get out of this fight. The thought of that money was appealing but the thought of losing was much stronger.

I have a feeling that Kambosos may be getting a step aside offer soon.

Rematch with Lomassiah in September, or maybe Haney. Just a feeling.

If he has any effects, it will take some time to get back on track.

Everything about the circus that Teo has been in the middle of does not smell right. He was completely looking past Kambosos and BAM, no fight.

Me too, but I think it sucks for Kambosos now, any way you slice it.

well, if he does get offered step aside, then there is some extra cash there, he can prob have a stay busy fight, and then still get a title shot,....so might work out

although, will triller make such a big ass bid again

Good point. I think not.

Not to go all conspiracy theorist but…Triller may have been looking at this as a mistake due to the logjam. Teo just got paid by Bob. “Who could have predicted that Covid would strike a guy hanging around crowds and giving interviews about everything but his fight?”

I refuse to believe that a guy who was unintimidated by Lomachenko and good enough to soundly beat him, is looking to swerve a good but unremarkable opponent like Kambosos. Does not compute.

They might go straight through to a Teofimo v Lomachenko 2 rematch

Everyones pretty chill on this covid thing... i mean, i know young people dont get too sick, but a few get some pretty long term lung impacts, that might not effect you doing a 9-5 but definatly could effect that top top end cardio. hopefully teo is just fine, shame to see him get povetkined by covid while early 20s and kinda undisputed.

Bob Arum: “We restructured Teofimo’s contract [with Top Rank] and I hope as a result of the structure he didn’t get the COVID.”

Arum might pretend he's only "joking", but two days after renegotiating his deal with Top Rank, Teofimo Lopez withdraws from the Triller event.

FYI - Triller originally acquired the rights to stage the Lopez-Kambosos bout, when they outbid Top Rank in the IBF's purse bid.

What a conspiracy, arum purposely hired a lawyer with covid to do the paper work just to fornicate over triller...

No way, he is making 2.5 million to fight for undisputed (kinda) with no rematch clause where the fornicate would they find enough cash to buy him out of that.

Throw in the fact that his opponent will be coming of covid giving him a glimmer of hope, it would cost millions and millions to buy him out of that.

I'm not sure if I'd describe it as a conspiracy, but not all remarkable coincidences are random in nature, especially when agendas and business rivalries are involved.

Even if Triller retain the rights to stage Lopez-Kambosos Jr., this sort of delay and inconvenience will cost them money.
