Let's go back to the 70,'s and 80' pre Sky shit. Let's go back to spit and sawdust gyms with real old school trainers. No disrespect but a lot of trainers now are just fitness coaches

Would you call Adam Booth, Shane McGugan and Ben Davison just fitness coaches?

I’m not loving boxing as much as I once did but it’s my number 1 sport.

What I think should change….,

- Have fighters fighting more often. It’s been refreshing to see Canelo active. Why are the top fighters fighting just once or twice per year? Hatton generated loads of interest partly because of how active he was. Fighters should be out 3/4 times per year.

- Make the traditional titles (British, Commonwealth, European) more active. Order more fights and get the champions more active. Last night’s BT show was depressing - surely it would have been better seeing Sharp go for the British or Arthur defending the British or going for the European.

- Give less credence to the fringe titles. FW loves them with going hard for the WBU belts and loving the WBO minor titles. The sanctioning bodies just do it for sanctioning fees but surely it’d help if the BBBC banned some of these pointless trinkets. Far easier said than done though.

- THe TV networks need to hold the promoters to account. Eddie’s had some bad ones in the last few years but the bulk of FW’s shows are very one sided involving fights that no one particularly wants to see.

They have absolutely nothing on coaches like Arcel, Futch, DAmato, Blackburn etc. Booth is shite and gets already built fighters. Just a guru type.

Less is more would be good. I'm going to sound hypocritical cos I always listen....but Eddie and Frank to cut down on their interviews on ifl etc to once a month (post fight stuff is fine).

Have the 3 you mentioned above ever trained anyone from scratch? imo Adam's a great cornerman, motivator and manager. Shane's had great insight and benefited from his father's experience but Ben, well from what i've seen not sure what he does

Booth was with David Haye from his debut to Chisora i think. Booth good but seems to have a track record of falling out with his fighters.
