The Fury fight itself has already lost interest. Should’ve happened at some point between Fury beating Wilder and now, but out and out greed meant they signed a fornicating THREE fight deal years ago. The irony.

Thinking back to Bruno-Lewis, the demographic was different to Joshua-Fury. It seemed all white blokes in their 30s, 40s and 50s wanted to see Bruno do Lewis. That same demographic I talk to in pubs now say they don’t care about Joshua or Fury and that Lennox Lewis would’ve done them both easily. However, male 13-28 age group are buzzing about the potential fight. Females don’t care at any age unless they fancy Joshua.

That's why Fury-AJ will be the biggest fight in British history.

For the younger demographic who are social media savvy.

It won’t happen. And even if it does, then what? What’s next?

Nothing.

Greed is killing boxing. If you can’t see this I don’t know what to say. Nobody really knows what channels or times it’s on, or who the fighters today are. Fury and Joshua aside. I’m just being real, I know it hurts and it’s hard to get your little head around.

But the days of the Finnegans, Magri, and a Jim Watt bloodbath, are gone.

Hmm.
Not so sure.
It will be in Saudi, not at home where it belongs.
It will not be free to all, you will probably have to have some subscription as well.
Big fights in the past were big because everyone could watch them, or go to them.

But then who gives a toss about that. It’s our own hard-earned money we’re giving them, only for them to come out and state not to shop in our businesses

I’d probably just watch highlights on YouTube the next day or something.

Shame really.
People forget the money.
They talk about the fight. Hard to do the next day if no one besides hard core subscribers actually got to watch it.
Conversation at the water cooler:
"Did you see Fury drop AJ last night?"
"No, where was it held?"
"Saudi Arabia"
"Why was it not at Wembley?"
"Umm, money I think"
"But Wembley holds 80,000. Can't that be enough money?"
"No, apparently not"
"So how come I couldn't find it in the TV guide then?"
"Oh, it's internet only, and you have to have a subscription, and then pay extra on top of that."
"So what else did you get up to on the weekend?"

Usyk's Promoter: Three Small Issues Remain To Finalize Joshua Fight

Alex Krassyuk, promoter for Oleksandr Usyk, says the mandatory fight with Anthony Joshua is close to being finalized - with "three small issues" remaining.

Joshua is slated to defend the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles against Usyk, the former undisputed cruiserweight king, on September 25.

Usyk was not overly impressive in his October decision win over division veteran Derek Chisora.

Based on his last few fights, most observers have tabbed Joshua as a solid favorite to come away with the victory in their anticipated encounter.

To raise his level in the upcoming fight, Usyk has retained the training services of Anatoly Lomachenko, who is father and trainer of three division world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.

"According to my experience in boxing, the fight is done when both fighters enter the ring and the bell sounds. We just have three small issues to co-ordinate, which we're going to do tonight," Krassyuk told Daily Mail.

"We have a conference call to fix everything and to proceed with signing [contracts]. [It's] some small risky things, which are not likely to happen. But we are professionals and we need to secure even the lowest possibility issues. That's why we keep saying, 'The principal things have been coordinated a long time ago.' But all those small issues are in progress. Nothing major.

"We keep saying we're going to make it within a couple of days. But the issue is our lawyers are in the United States, we're in Ukraine, [AJ's] guys are in the UK. We don't need to talk much, we just need to agree on small issues and to proceed further."

BEAST MODE

Despite assurances by Usyk’s handler Alexander Krassyuk that, “We hope that we will sign the contract by the end of the week,” when speaking to Sky Sports, and that “Most of the issues have been coordinated and agreed,” nothing came come to fruiting since that prediction over a month ago.

Nonetheless, “Usyk’s confidence is at sky level,” according to Krassyuk’s chat with Sky. By the looks of him, he certainly should be confident he can cause an upset.
