If there was a bigger age difference it would be possible in a few years. I'm not sure how possible. Paul is a natural cruiser. But I can't obviously believe it's possible in this timeline.

the other medalists in the same competition were 13 and 16 , the uk has a 13 year old skateboarder there and there's a 12 year old japanese, and they'd all have been even younger had it happaned in 2020.

More of an advantage being that young in skateboarding surely - you’re much lighter. I was good at it at 12, much shitter at 18

Wilfredo Gomez was also just 17 when he won gold at the world amateur championships in Cuba in 1974, destroying all four of his opponents, including the Cuban.

One of Chris Eubank’s boxing idols was Gomez, along with Tyson, Duran, LaPorte and Tommy Hearns and a local southpaw called Dennis Cruz.

Eubank said drugs got Cruz around 84/85. Before that he was Pernell Whitaker-esque (according to Eubank) and the one he strived to box like when he was an amateur.

Eubank then met a martial artist by the name of Walter Johnson (former NYC GG semi-finalist) around 86/87 and developed that bizarre stop-start style.
