As a Canelo fan im pretty sad he lost. But happy for Bivol and it was nice to see him silence the crowd. IMO he should not seek the rematch. He stepped up in weight and challenged guy who he knew stylistically would be a big problem. Took the L like a man, no excuses (hopefully). Time to settle in 168 and seek Benavidez and Charlo fights. For Bivol, Beter - Smith winner before end of year :box: :box: :box:

omg, a boxer took some nose damage? jeez, they should call it a no contest that's so unfair
I spotted Canelo’s damaged nose in the eighth round.

The post-fight interview confirmed it.

Cuts, bruises and fractures are part and parcel of boxing.

our boy eo had it a draw

imo canelo won 1 clear round at best, i can take anything from 119-109 to 117-111....
Lol at him.

bivol had the perfect style to beat canelo, one that he's very good at

i still think canelo would pound ggg and beat the likes of zurdo though...

It was crazy seeing Bivol take chances in this fight. He really wanted this win. He was punching with Canelo and staying at close range, even willingly fighting Canelo's fight. I thought Bivol would lose this fight with his unwillingness to take chances, but he surprised me. Made it difficult for the judges to rob him. Beautiful boxing by the Russian.

ya, bivol unloaded combos and showed agression like he hadnt in a while. he knew when to pick his spots for those too.....when canelo was on the ropes. canelo basically shuts down offensively there

really nice boxing from bivy

Can tell the judges tried their hardest to give Canelo a win or draw.

I had it 10-2 for Bivol.

Mike C only gave Canelo 2 rounds as well. And that was after mid way point.

Don’t know what Dan was watching.

Quality was also on Bivols side. His speed was an issue and his conbos were good.

Never seen Canelo so frustrated.

I think EO was trying his hardest to score ‘like the judges would’ hence his card.

I don’t think he truly scored it.

No way did Canelo win more than. 3 rounds.

Maybe some had the first 3 as swing rounds.

ya, i noticed canelo also seemed stung more than usual. when he was hit he was never hurt but got a look of concern.

in his 2 lhw fights he's had a pretty much even fight before stopping shopworn kov, and was handled by bivy. he's still very good but clearly not his optimum weight i think

I do feel a lot for GGG that he never got ANY decision against Canelo. We all know he deserved at least one.

Bivol boxed Canelo back to his 154 lb. days. Was insane to see that version that hung on the ropes, tired and frustrated. I remember in the build up to this fight reading some article on ESPN or something talking about the "pathway for Canelo to become the GoAT." If he eased through Bivol tonight, I would actually start believing.

Gawd the judges tried hard to stuff that up.
Great stuff from Bivol, that is the best he has been. He knew cruising wasn't going to get the decision, he had to win 10 out of 12 rounds to squeak through

I thought Golovkin beat him just as soundly in the second fight, and to my surprised, guys that I actually respect as scorers had Canelo winning the second fight clearly. This gives me some solace at least seeing Canelo losing a clear UD, something not even Mayweather could get :OhYes: .

I had it 9-3 Bivol. Hard to see how he got more than that.
Our average user scorecard currently has it 119-111, which includes 2 even rounds you could probably give those to Canelo. That would match my personal score.

Yeh. He didn’t even need a KD.

Canelo tried the arm punches and Bivol pointed that out at the end. They must sting. It was sore.

I spotted Canelo’s damaged nose in the eighth round.

The post-fight interview confirmed it.

Cuts, bruises and fractures are part and parcel of boxing.

At worst, Canelo won 4 rounds, IMO. Give him the 9th, and the first 3. Any scorecard outside of that is insane and that person should refrain from scoring fights ever again.
