He did a bit of talk against Joyce. Wasn’t well received.

Yeh. Joyce put a beating on DDD slowly each round, which ultimately got him the stoppage win.

I actually have Joyce just ahead.

I don’t think he’d had even beat Charr.

They swerved that big.

I would like to see DDD give Charr a shot at the belt he never actually lost.

Why not?

Will show a lot more about DDD than it did tonight.

Dubois did what he had to do. There are positives to take away....boxed on a Don King Show (admittedly a DK who has lost the plot), boxed in America, boxed in a fight with added championship pressure etc

All completely flawed arguments because this was a DK cornership promotion compared to the big nights he used to stage and the champion was unbelievably bad, but it might not stop DDD gaining from the experience in his own mind.

At least it went a few rounds despite Bryan offering very little and looking hopeless, plus the finishing shot was decent.

Even though W@rren hasn't much of a clue what he's doing with heavyweights, he probably couldn't believe his luck that Don King let this fight go ahead.

How W@rren steers Dubois now is either going to be interesting or massively disappointing.....Fwank managed to disgrace the heavyweight division by lining up 2 appalling challengers for Herbie Hide in the shape of Damon Reed & Willi Fischer so we know there's no depths that there are too low to sink, but not sure he can do that now now. I suppose Lucas Browne could fit the bill.

No surprise, how Dub iced the sack of crap Bryan, I just expected it to last a round earlier.

A strange night of boxing. 4 prospect/journeyman mismatches (is it me or does Frank have more of these on his main cards than the other main U.K. promoters?!) followed by 2 good and competitive British title fights.

The Dubois fight was super strange. Bryan was awful. Will be interesting to see who they match Dubois with next. Whilst his post Joyce matchmaking has done him well in WBA positioning I don’t think he’s learnt a great deal more so I’d still have concerns for him when he steps up again to a competitive fight.

Dubois looked very relaxed and unbothered in the build up, he knew Bryan was no challenge to him. I can't imagine him being that laid back had he been fighting one of the big names.

He is maturing, plus I think guys that get that first loss are always less wound up.

just watched the last min or so of the fight. keen to see the rest when i find a good version on youtube.

DDD caught trev with a neat lil left hook and rocked him, then a bit of so so yada yada... then caught him with another neat left hook, not loaded at all, just on the chin and good night trev.

DDD has some reallll power. isnt a giant, and is fairly basic, but could be a problem in the division. Powerfull jab, strong right hand, sharp left hook and can thud to the body. you expect that from everyone in lower divs but that kinda punch selection from a strong 240lb lump is very very nice.

Ahmed/Khademi 3 was another razor tight fight, I had Khademi winning 115-112 but without much conviction, not a lot of quality from either man, Khademi is elusive, always moving but potshots a lot, especially in those later rounds where he was just running and flicking out the occasional punch, Ahmed pressed as always, landed the harder shots and got off some sneaky body shots as well but didn't always get off in the fight, he missed a lot as well, as i say I thought Khademi nicked it but there was a lot of pick em rounds, I don't want to see a fourth fight, both men have had 2 cracks at the British now and failed to take it

Frank W said a week or two back that he was planning on flying out for the Dubois fight.

He wasn’t there and he wasn’t at his own show in Telford (which, unless I missed it, he have no promotion to during fight week). I hope he’s ok health wise but it also made me wonder whether he’s on the Kinahan linked banned list.

Yeah - that was my read on the fight too. I enjoyed it because it was competitive (particularly after the 4 fights preceding it) but it wasn’t at a particularly high level and I don’t particularly want to see a 4th fight.

I had Davies beating Leach 114-113, close fight , Davies couldn't have asked for a worse/better start, broken nose then drops Leach with a peach of a straight right down the pipe, after that Davies grew in confidence and you could see him take control of the fight,. measuring Leach up for that right hand, dipped the knees of him in about the 5th, Leach finally got going second half began to land the counters and time the left hand, Davies understandably tired down the stretch as Leach closed the gap but Davies earlier work saw it through for a deserved decision

Dubois/Bryan was an even bigger farce than expected, Bryan was terrible, his shorts looked painted on, they were that tight his knees looked buckled inwards ffs, still excellent left hook from Dubois to end the madness

Good night on BT tbh…

Nothing major early doors. Ethan James shutout Connolly; wonder where he will go with not much power.

Felt for Ahmed; thought he won pretty convincing but hard fight to score and thought the point off was tough as Alexander didn’t really warn him properly.
115-112 Ahmed. Would love to see a 4th as I really enjoyed it but both men didn’t seem up for it.

Gutted for Leach who come on strong but Davies deserved the belt and fought on with what looked like a broken nose in the 1st. Give him an easy defence then straight to Cunningham imo.

Dubois dismantled Bryan as expected but weird night; small ring, small crowd, Ukraine conflict, Don king promotion and briggs was always gonna be a strange one.

Happy for Daniel who should get more opportunities of the back of this. Joyce is going nowhere; I’d like to see a rematch. Big power and will be a threat to any heavy.

“Let’s go champ” during the English national anthem best moment of the night.

Yeh. I just hope he doesn’t sit on this and wait for the Usyk-Joshua winner.

Who knows when that mandatory will get called.

Heck, fight Helenius. He was the previous GOLD champion.

Frank can probably sell a few ‘world heavyweight fight nights’ on the back of this.

Dubois should be out again this year.

Don King Productions won the bidding for the World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight championship bout between Trevor Bryan and Daniel Dubois. The auction took place on Monday via Zoom and the team representing Bryan, with Don King himself present at the purse bid, won the rights to promote the bout with a bid of three million one hundred and sixteen thousand and one dollars (US$3,116,001.00).

not sure of the split..maybe probably 70/30
