I rated Liam Williams far more than Liam Smith, he had faster hands, seemingly better power, more variety, fast sharp explosive imaginative work, seemed like a beast

And Smith just broke his heart, Williams was a beaten man in both those fights despite beating Smith up for the majority of the first, Smiths will won't be broken, it doesn't break, that alone means Eubank is probably in for a fight

It's true Eubank shines against come forward plodders, but Smith has more tools and intangibles than Spike OSullivan and certainly the likes of Yildrim and Nick Blackwell, doesn't get disheartened by taking hard shots to the head and he continues to come on the whole fight, Eubank Jr has been caught between styles and we havnt seen him firing off 30 punch combos in a long time, that was how he controlled the pace because he fades, Smith won't let him control the pace, but that's where Eubanks physical strength comes in, I think that's where the natural size will really factor in Eubanks favour

Smiths guard is also a bit better than the other earmuff wearers Eubank has shined against, I think Spike O'Sullivans defence was better when he had his hands DOWN!

Well they were close fights. The first fight Williams was ahead on the cards and the head clash was unfortunate. It should have gone to the cards and been a Williams win. The second fight was very close and could have gone either way for me. I did expect Williams to win that so Smith was better than I thought. The Kurbanov fight is a little worrying here for Liam. Going off my notes I have him being hurt at the end of the 6th, end of the 10th (legs went). Kurbanov didn't look world class or anything and Liam had his own success in the fight too. I had the fight for Kurbanov.

Cannot personally believe how highly some people rate former IBO world champion Chris Eubank. He’s a very good fighter but will never breach world level.

Size won’t be a huge factor. Both will likely weigh the same come fight night. You question what Liam do well; if that’s your barometer then what the hell does Chris do well apart from have an iron jaw. What fights have impressed you so much about him? Even in defeat to Canelo Liam did himself proud.

The problem with Eubank when he fought Williams was that he didn’t seem to want to admit that he needed to work really hard in order to win impressively. He was trying to dominate at a canter and show a gulf in class, but gave up plenty of rounds in doing so.

If he goes in against Smith with the same mindset but can’t knock the guy off his feet, who knows, he could well drop a decision.

Interesting match up, but Sky Box Office….? Come on…

I've had a little flutter on Beefy for this one. 2.60 isn't bad really.
Figure its been a while since anyone really put it on Eubank Jr, and Smith definitely will do that and I feel there is a chance he will out work him to squeak the decision.
It's the best fight Eubank has been in since Groves and I'm looking forward to not paying for it

Agreed but the Fa win was a good statement and Fa is not long off going 12 with Parker. Blasting Fa out is more than enough for me to licence him over here but that Gallen fight was just way too suspect and maybe that was taken into account.

“I would have liked it to be 159, 158lbs,” Smith told Sky Sports. “But you've seen the big stink with the 157 pound thing with Conor Benn [for the fight that fell through] and I knew I was never going to get him that low.”

But I also know that with the fear and doubtful side on their part also, they're not going to fight me at 157 or 158 pounds,” Smith said of Eubank and his team. “They won't even fight me at 159 pounds. They know they're in a fight. They know their weakness in the fight also. So they're not going to give me any advantage because they know they're in a fight this time.”

I don't think Frazer is the best of technicians and Johnson has gone the distance with better. I think this will go the full distance but it's one of those fights where I also wouldn't be surprised if Frazer did him in 1 because Johnson has a lot of miles on the clock.
