bad judging has little to do with who is a home country judge and who is from abroad, it's about who is the a-side fighter. foreign judges judging in the uk are often just as bad or worse than local judges
glen feldman for example was a 'neutral' judge for usyk-aj, but look at his steaming pile of diahreea score
The only home country judge he had was Victor laughlin. He was only a point away from scoring it a draw.

McNally was a decent Liverpool amateur, had a few pro fights, unbeaten but never stepped up in class.
Seem to remember he had some legal issues, problems with Eastern European stripper missus!
Or was that Jamie Cox? Or both? Maybe it was the same girl!

I think Selkirk leads a colourful life. He's had his house shot up a couple of times. Almost everyone reckons he was the standout talent from Liverpool in years.

Great rematch this, cant wait!
High-level world title fight between two domestic fighters with the needle and in the UK. Class.
I had heard before the first fight that Catterall was a real talent in the gym and he delivered on that potential. I thought he really outboxed and outclassed Taylor and in the end put some damage on him. I am bit embarrassed to say that I hadn’t really seen much of Catterall before the first fight so it was good to watch and see him perform so accomplished. He wasn’t in anyway intimidated or unnerved. He really bossed it for me.
Taylor will be better suited with Joe McNally now training him rather than Ben Davison. Taylor has regressed and it is a shame he can’t join back up with Shane McGuigan as they were a great fit.
I fancy Catterall but Taylor will be hungry for this.

I’m 99.9% certain he didn’t leave Shane because of any training issue.
After the Frampton - Cyclone (Barry McGuigan’s promotional company) trial several fighters left Cyclone & joined MTK - Taylor, Cameron, Cummings. Not sure if there were anymore.
I don’t know if Cyclone did Taylor dirty or not but for whatever reason he wanted to leave. I’m sure the blood & drugs money was a nice incentive too.
McNally was a decent amateur & an unbeaten pro. Not sure why he retired but he’s trained amateurs & Liam Smith decided to use him as his trainer. Smith’s looked decent under him & Taylor’s decided to use him too. There’s probably an MTK connection too with Smith been one of their fighters.

Catterall looked great early on in his career. He looked like a world beater & then for a few years he went stale, barely fought & seemed to just do enough to win & by the time the Taylor fight came round I think everyone had lost interest in him. No one seemed to give him a chance.

Yeah, he didn’t have any real profile going into the fight and there wasn’t any hype about him.
This is gonna be a very interesting fight.

Perhaps that’s what they’re waiting for before properly announcing.
I think they’ve missed the boat a little bit with this rematch. If it had happened 6 months after the first fight then it’s a big fight. Now I’m not too bothered by it and unless they reap stack the undercard it’s another PPV I’ll be swerving.

But controversial.
He only fought once.
He won (unofficially)
Technically should be undisputed champion.
