I read that article too. I do have some sympathy with building a fighter. Joe Hayden for instance, went 11 and 0 last week but no am experience, fight against MJ Hall was really good. You have to start somewhere.

But even still, poor matchmaking goes on too much in my opinion, which is a shame. I can see from an entry level point of view how someone new to the sport would prefer this misfits stuff, over some of the knock over jobs and serve ups that get presented to us in the pros

fully understand your point, it's a balancing act isn't it. I think we can all agree more even fights are required, tougher match ups and everyone would benefit from it.

They would mate, it's a shame no one seems to realise a good fighter losing to another good fighter in a tough fight doesn't, or shouldn't change a thing, both fighters can still go on to achieve big things, and be respected by people

definitely. It's why I admire Eggington so much, turned pro to go on the road, did really well, had some losses including surprising ones but just carries on, pops back up and achieves again. Mental resilience of that chap must be so high. Having Jon Pegg behind you will be good for the soul too, you know you're never getting stitched up or thrown to lions.

I think Fury by KO, he boxed really well the last time he fought a proper pro. He does have some modicum of talent imo
