It’s surprising how much of an underdog the bookies are making Parker. The Joyce fight must be making them write him off. Probably Wilder will pull it off, but Parker must be best value for a bet this weekend I’d guess?

there have been some interesting odds across this card

like 8/1 on kabayal. mak has the ko hype, but is limited and had a struggle vs takam in his only fight vs someone at least at fringe contender level. also been splatted as an amateur and i wouldnt say has proved his chin yet as a pro. kabayal a good polished fighter, still fairly young. not really a standout in any one area, but solid in most.

dubois opened something like 8-1 fave over miller too, for what many people see as 50/50 or even a fight for miller to win. it's been heavily bet down, but still you can get pretty good on miller if you fancy him

wilder i think should beat parker, but wilder's at a point in his career and his age that he could realistically drop off hard for any given fight

Parker is actually the 2nd best guy Wilder has ever boxed. Which says a lot about how Wilder has been protected. If he can avoid that right hand, he’s a live dog here.

He'll get outboxed, throw wild shots, get tagged and have wobbly legs on a few occasions, hang on in there and survive and then land a fight ending right cross in the 9th/10th round.

I think the only way Parker wins, as much as I like him, is if Wilder has got old.

I put a tenner on Parker early doors, just because the odds were hard to pass on and I've had a good year at the bookies, tine to take a little risk

“I’m really intrigued to see if Wilder will have any ring rust. Parker has been very active this year, admittedly not against a high caliber of opponent but he has seen action three times. I do think we may see an upset in either Anthony Joshua-Otto Wallin or this one. I think Parker will have success early and box to a game plan, maybe similarly to how Luis Ortiz was able to. There’s an argument that outside Tyson Fury that this is Wilder’s best opponent. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilder is behind and has to land that devastating power to score a come-from-behind win. I’ll go with Wilder to stop Parker in around eight or nine-rounds but absolutely wouldn’t be surprised if Parker is able to pull it off.”

“‘The Bronze Bomber’ is 38 years old and has logged only one round of official action in the last three years, but he still has that enormous one-punch power as well as significant advantages in height (three inches) and reach (seven inches). Parker rates as one of Wilder’s better opponents and he presents several challenges: He is younger (31), far more fundamentally sound and a former WBO champion. If he is on his game, he will win more than his share of rounds. However, he has been stopped (KO by 11 Joe Joyce in September 2022) and he has been shaken in the later rounds.
