2 judges found a couple of rounds for Jonas, mmm...

Shut out for me.

She’s 40 now so she’s obviously slowed down but her work rate has always been the issue. She’s too reliant on single shots.

It’s what allowed the Harper fight to go the other way & Taylor pulled away after what had been an even fight through 8 rounds.

Watched the fight, one sided, Price is very good for a woman, fast feet, moves her head and punches in combinations.

She beats everyone other than the bigger girls easy enough

Doesn't sit down on her punches which bores me but is much better than the others

Giving Jonas two of the ten rounds is just as disgraceful in my opinion as any scoring in the past ten years.

Judges embarrassing themselves as usual. Absolutely no way did Jonas win 2 rounds. Obvs doesn't really matter, but just shows they can't even get easy fights totally right.

I found Jonas backing up in straight lines frustrating, given how vulnerable Price was chasing her in the same fashion. A few angles and short counters/checks could've tipped the fight on its head, or at least made Price think better of it.

I also felt Price wasted a lot of energy on unnecessary movement on the brink or out of range, seemingly in emulation of top fighters without fully understanding why and when they do it. But still, she'd have beaten any version of Jonas comfortably. She had nice timing on her right, almost countering Jonas at will and stopping her in her tracks every time.

Steve gray and Terry O'Connor would have scored it a draw

Only saw parts of two rounds but it was just Price pot shorting from distance and landing some decent half cuffing shots when Jonas came inside. Jonas was missing like mad during the brief few minutes I watched and sounds like it was the same all fight. Should I bother watching the full fight?

Mayer vs Sandy Ryan was a really good fight with both landing hard to head and body, almost every round had a lot of action. Mayer and Ryan in all of their fights have been able to land and impose themselves much better than I’ve ever seen Lauren Price do. More or less Price has nowhere else to go than one of those two now and I don’t think I’d be backing her to win altho wouldn’t go as far as to put money on it.

Very bad but not the worse scoring of the night. The Korean judge gave Caroline Dubois' opponent a draw.

Maybe we’re missing something with Jonas but I’ve scored her 2 rounds out of her last 20 yet the judges found her 2 last night & 6 or more against Mayer.

Tbh I wouldn't bother watching the full fight, every round was indeed the same. Price landed a few harder shots as the fight went on but didn't really deviate from her in/out tactics, and Jonas only landed 30 shots over the 10 rounds according to Compubox (and 10 of those were in the final round).

I think Price will beat Mayer & Ryan, although nowhere near as easily as she beat Jonas. Hopefully it will happen soon, I don't mind women's boxing at the top level, but there's just such a massive dropoff in quality below that.

2 minutes rounds are terrible. Women want equality so why not go the full 3 minutes? It's not as if women have powerful punches, so Im guessing long term damage isn't going to be bad as the men.

The Dubois fight would have almost been a different result if 3 minutes rounds.

When women box you know it's going to go the distance, this takes away any excitement as you know, unless grossly overmatched you are going to sit through 30 minutes of tapping.

I didn't watch the main event, purely it was around 10-10pm after the Dubois fight and knowing the main event would go the distance I needed my bed to get up for my early shift.

I think 3 minutes rounds should be contested, but it would not be great for television having to sit through round after round of the same.

I think though, results would be more variable and may increase stoppages.

Serrano is pissed at Taylor cus she went against her word. I think she agreed the 3rd would be 2 minute 12 rounds.

I mean not all women fights should go 12 rounds and 3 minutes. Cus they are boring, but I have seen more than a handful of high level fights.

I don’t mind the 2 mins because they seem to go fast and it’s a quicker fight. Considering most woman fights go full distance.

I believe the first Taylor-Serrano fight, had it been 3 minute rounds, there’s a high chance Taylor could have been stopped in some of the rounds.

Taylor has definitely looked on the verge of exhaustion numerous times, although in fairness boxers do have to set their tempo to match the fight duration. If it was 3 minute rounds, I'm sure she'd be more economical and adjust her pace accordingly.

With the men it obviously used to be 12 rounds for British and European titles and 15 for World title fights and then they did away with the 15 rounds and all title fights were 12 with some minor titles being 10.

It’s probably too much for them to move the women’s to 3 minute rounds and say 10 rounds for world titles and say 8 x 3 for British and European title fights and go from there see how the standard is and if it’s ok then go to 12x3s for World titles.

I think moving to 12x2s wouldn’t change much because the rounds would still be over so quickly.
