Want Cameron to smash him but got a feeling Whittaker will find some stamina powers and get a decision
Gotcha thanksJamesPhilips wrote: ↑19 Apr 2025, 15:16Itv was a ‘ceremonial weigh in'. Shalom likes these it seems
They are doing the official weighs in UFC style I.e. early in the morning so the fighters can get on with rehydration. The weigh ins with the crowd are ceremonial, the official weights from earlier are just read off a piece of paper.jameswilson wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 15:12 Just on yesterday’s weigh in it seemed very early? I’m sure insane updates on Instagram of the proper weigh in happening during the AM.
Not a difficult one to call but I'm still 100% on heavyweight predictions for over 20 years. I have now got a feeling David Allen might let me down against Fisher but I'm not changing my prediction having made it directly to him on here.
Yeah Shalom does those. I hate it cos it’s fake and also you need to see the shape they are really in on the scales it’s BSJimmy2025 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 15:17They are doing the official weighs in UFC style I.e. early in the morning so the fighters can get on with rehydration. Well, I was right about Whittaker, but alas, there was controversy.ShadrachSimmo wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 08:44Could be somewhere in the middle and be a real competitive fight with both men covered in glorykeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 07:34I'm either going to be very right or very wrong.ShadrachSimmo wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 05:11
It’s possible we seen the best of Whittaker too. He’s a guy who truly believes his own hype. Lees a good guy who knows the game inside out but Whittaker bottled the last fight 100%. The big questions aren’t about his ability, more everything surrounding it. Be an interesting spectacle more than the main event I think..Really looking forward to it and wishing both participants the best. Hopefully the refs and the judges do their jobs properly.
aye we don’t want it ruined with any more controversy although it wouldn’t surprise me…
It didn’t look like it to me, think just some spittle came out his mouth as he was shouting at the other team.

I agree with the decision to be fair. At the end of the barrage Liam wasn't in a position to defend himself.ShadrachSimmo wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 12:18keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 08:35Well, I was right about Whittaker, but alas, there was controversy.ShadrachSimmo wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 08:44

Sh1t reffing as per. Foster is dreadful.,
I'm no Shalom fan (or hater) but it was Warren and Cameron that blew up the 10 round/12 round thing (because they could) so hopefully that wasn't what affected him, contract blooper that could have been corrected quietly if they'd wanted to. they all knew it was meant to be a 10 rounder.rd350lc wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 12:49 Anyone think Liam looked really flat last night and in the week prior?
Looked pale and pasty and really disinterested and flat . Maybe all the shenanigans surrounding the fight got him , take nothing away from the actual win for Whittaker but he didn't look like the Cameron we saw last time out.
Hope he got a nice payday out of it all .
I think the occasion got to him a bit, he looked a bit in awe of it all. I think his reaction to losing was like it was inevitable, he was happy with his winnings regardless what happened it seemed.rd350lc wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 12:49 Anyone think Liam looked really flat last night and in the week prior?

'Mild'? It's been a hell of a lot worse than that.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 15:00 Ben and Andy Lee need to give their heads a wobble with all this “oh you don’t know what he’s been through this last 6 months” b0ll0cks

You are both right, I reckon. Being in the spotlight is tiring especially when it's new to you. His missus is locked up too, isn't she, so he's dealing with that and he can't be far removed from the stress that goes with being around criminality even if he's not active. On first listen he sounds like everything is water off a duck's back to him but you don't meet many people who a genuinely unflappable.Controversial wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 13:32I think the occasion got to him a bit, he looked a bit in awe of it all. Yes hopefully someone advises him re his winnings! I wonder what will happen with him now though, he’s 35 this year so he may well fade into obscurity.Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025, 09:26You are both right, I reckon. Plus, he's simply not on the same level or trajectory as the bloke he was fighting.
Liam needs to make sure he puts the requisite amount aside to pay his 25/26 tax properly and spend the rest on bricks and mortar.
Yeah, including me, but we're not talking about that, we're talking about Ben Whittaker's social media.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025, 09:16Plenty of people live with real problems and tragedy in their lives, they can rightly claim to have been through tough timeskeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025, 07:32'Mild'?
