I want to be high on Whittaker, but ... The first Cameron fight was going south when a timely dive over the ropes came into play, while the second one was stopped early (which is easy for me to say, I wasn't the one getting punched in the face). Outside of several known journeymen, Gavasi had no one of any note on his record, so I'm still not sold on Whittaker, even with that brutal KO. I really want to see how he reacts when pressed and facing adversity, but make sure the turnbuckles are tight.

“Highs and lows of the sports,” Whittaker said in a video he posted to his Instagram account only hours after his first-round knockout of Germany’s Gavazi. “Come back, house has been burgled.”

https://www.instagram.com/stories/benwh ... w4bXIxaWR4

“House robbed after the win” with a tearful laughing emoji. If he seemed relatively unfazed by the intrusion – almost bemused, in fact – perhaps it’s because he already had a plan.

“But, Wensbury, I got a big, big reward,” he said. “Find these people, let me know.”

Few additional details were provided, though Whittaker briefly turned the video camera toward what appeared to be a kitchen window with broken blinds that seemed to have been used to gain entry. Whittaker also indicated that his IBF light heavyweight international title belt had been taken in the incident. “What they gonna do with that?” he asked.

Whittaker didn’t offer any specifics about the proposed reward.

“Let me know,” he said. “Hit me up in the DMs. Big reward. Love.”

Brilliant KO, nearly missed it after switching over from the BBC but why wasn't he doing it in his early fights instead of all the messing. He needs a lot better opponent next time to see if this real or he goes back to type in a hard fight

Some picked the wrong house with Duncan Ferguson.

I was hoping somebody would give 'em credit. I'm not typically much on Women's boxing, but I didn't expect a fight that solid to open up the card between 2 girls with a 1-0 record.

Better than many Women's title fights I've seen honestly.

I just watch the fights and enjoy it if it's good, no matter which gender. Nothing could be worse than Ursu-Amos tonight, to call it terrible would be an insult to terrible matchups.

Beatriz Ferreira vs Elif Nur Turhan could be interesting next week. Ferreira is unbelievable, but Turham is the rarest of the rare, a concussive puncher.

I didn’t watch this live as I watched the BBC card but seen the KO & seen some posts about Gavazi online. That could be one of the most padded records in boxing history.

Did they get many fans in the arena for it?

Opponents like that in headline fights will kill the sport.

He fought in the Olympics over 4 years ago & is nearly 30. I know he had a couple of injuries when he was coming through but is there any need to take a big step back from Liam Cameron when he beat Cameron easily.

I think they can't be confident if he is matched against a 'live' opponent, won't be going anywhere if he is knocking over the likes of Gavasi buried away on DAZN
