I am no fan of post David Lee Roth VH, but to be fair to the band, the first three albums are very good indeed and hugely influential on a whole host of bands. If you like them or not is up to you, but between them, they have sold gazillions of albums

I can't deny being a fan of DLR's anyway. His Autobiography " crazy From The Sun" is actually written by him rather than a ghost writer ( as is the want with these books ) and is hysterically funny. A precursor to Motley Crue's fantastically filthy " The Dirt"

The picture captions in DLR's book at worth the price of the book themselves. One in particular has DLR backstage with a very very brassy looking groupie bent over his dressing table. The caption merely reads

" I spoiled her for other men"

I quite like some of DLR's stuff after he left Van Halem as it happens.

Oh, and wine-wise I can recommend Chablis. A bottle of Chablis and a nice cigar hit the spot on an evening, although truth be told I prefer whisky and Belgian beer.

Bundaburg ...evil.

Visited my cousin in OZ, we drank a load of VB's and then a bottle of Bundy, and it ended up with him insisting I put him in a triangular lock choke hold, and then punching me in the throat when I let him go.

Great stuff.

That would make sense, considering australia have never actually been capable of producing good music.

Bundy rum is awesome. You just have to be real careful not to drink more than a bottle by yourself.

Never really liked Midnight Oil the singer dances like a retard and is now a bloody Member for the Labour Party.

No no mate, not saying anything against that, which I guessed. It was just with the capital letter to make it Reading - as in the place. eg. "I'm also interested in Wrexham and the outskirts of Brighton."

 Oh dear, uncle jomo's 'acquired' sense of humour doesn't strike again.

Jimmy, what was all that a bit back about Pudzianovski winning the world strongest man last time? You said about 2 months before it was shown on the Beeb that he kicked arse again and lifted the title. So there I was sitting watching it with this lass and giving it all the bullshit like i knew what i was on about, assuring her that Marius was going to win and he ended up 3rd!

Did he not end up being done for roids? I think that was said after the show took place though.

 I can remember writing that and then editing it a few days later when I realised I'd messed up. Sorry about that.
