chris hammer wouldn't have won a minute vs jared anderson, he's basically a punchbag spoiler now. he's already been stopped 4 times and dropped plenty too, not like there's any 'can he be the first to stop him' intrigue either

My question is who is the fighter on standby that Warren allegedly has waiting in the wings if Whyte pulls out of the fight?
Bet it’s Christian Hammer II.
One would hope not because if that's the case it ought to just be an exhibition and everybody be refunded their money.
It does make me wonder who in the top 15-20 on BoxRec or top 50 for that matter who would be available in case Whyte did pull out. A lot of them are already in negotiations for fights.
Makes me wonder if Chisora wouldn't be the standby opponent, and why is he rated number 7 on BoxRec?

Why oh why would Dillan pull out ,,, only reason would be if he decides he's not getting paid and wants it in escrow ,, something to be honest i woud'nt blame him for ,,, a man with a record for not paying and going to court is already making comments about not paying and going to court ,, i would certainly be worried if i was Dillan .
The only thing Frank will come out with is he is contactually obliged to do stuff , but refuses to say what that stuff is , I doubt he's contractually obliged to jump on an economy flight and fly from portugal to do a couple of press confrences in the middle of training , no doubt theres a face off , and a couple of press meetings but theres time yet .
But whislt were at it listening to fwank when are these interviewers gonna get the balls to ask Frank , what excatly does he have to do to honor the contract Frank says has broke ,
Then while there at it they can ask where is Fury in all this surely he has the same arrangments , in fact maybee more , because after all according to Fwank he's the draw ,,, yet Fury is'nt out there either , he's in self isolation from social media ... Brings me to the opponent Fwanks got someone else ready to step in in case Dillan pulls out
WHY whats wrong with good old fashioned insurance , who's the new opponent and will the 94000 be offered a refund if that was to happen , seems to me Franks panicking a bit here , i think the money is a problem Hearn has kept his mouth shut , i think he's thinking Fwank has bit of more than he can chew and wants out
From the outside watching it certainly seems like Fwank is goading Dillan to pull out ,, threats of not paying , suing ect ect
Only recourse Frank seems to have is the fact that he claims Dillan is getting paid a lot of money , well got news for Frank Dillan was a ppv fighter BEFORE this fight and lets have it right he's only getting a percetage set out by the powers that be , Frank did'nt have to bid 9 million more than his closest competitor in order to pay the gypsy king a kings ransom ,, he could of bid 9 mill less than the closest bidder .
Nope i think Franks shot himself in the foot is risking everything and panicking he would love Dillan to pull out , then try and sue dillan to recover costs
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I hope you don’t mind me butting in, but the undercard is what it is really. I’m not going to go after Bricktop as they have wacked so much money on the main event. Plus he/BT have never done a fight this size before, and he’s also got Frillian Whyte Knickers not promoting it, so I can understand him going conservative with the undercard.
They lost Jared Anderson who was in a decent fight TBF to them.
Lowe - Ball should be a fun action fight. I like Adeleye and Chris Healy has solid enough chin, so we should get a good 8 rounder. Cacace -Romero should be a good matchup.
You really think Cacace/Romero is a good matchup?
Also Healey has gone 1-1 in 2 close fights with Danny Whitaker in the last 2 years. The same guy Adeleye stopped in his 4th fight. It’s another mismatch unless I’m missing something.
The Lowe/Ball fight will be worth a watch though.
I’m not saying Healey will be overly competitive - just that unless I’ve mistaken him for another fighter, he has a solid enough chin and hasn’t been stopped, so it would be interesting to see if Adeleye can open him up. I quite enjoy watching him, but I don’t know how good he can be yet, so this intrigues me slightly.
I know it’s was the weight below, but Romero is a good fighter and former Champ, so hopefully that translates into a decent fight.
Its not a great card as we know, but due to the circumstances I mentioned earlier, I will let it go on this occasion.
I will probably walk round to my local, and come back home for the main event.

All this will backfire on Whyte when his first appearance gets 100x the coverage than it would have before.

Bang on. More coverage will be on this fight when he first turns up than would’ve been on it if he just did the right thing and turned up.
It’ll be in fight week, too. Fresh in the memories of the casuals who will then waver to buying it.
It will sell well on PPV and Dillian will look an even bigger dick than he does now.

Yeah - I understand why it’s a rubbish undercard. I just find it grating from Frank that he’s trying to say it’s something it isn’t.
Re: Romero, it was 2 weights below where he won the title and was blasted out by Kiko. He hasn’t had one fight with a meaningful opponent in the 9 years since that fight. He’ll be cheap and it’ll be a very straightforward win for Cacace.
Healey’s been stopped a couple of times and down in other fights too. One of the stoppages was against Nick Webb which isn’t surprising whilst the other was on a cut.

I think it’s just as much self preservation for Whyte not going to any press conferences so far. We all know Fury would tie him in knots.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Whyte turns up, wears headphones for any face to face and gives a couple of sentences at the press conference.

But he's a roadman? Do they not understand that the northern boys dont even know, or care, what that is? It's like Fwank said when Bhop went all gangster on Calzaghe, "you're wasting your time, mate, he doesn't have a clue what you are going on about, he's from the valley's"

Indeed. We've still got youngsters who play truant, hang about in groups wearing balaclavas and outdoor pursuits attire, tuck their trousers into their socks, act hard, make gun signs, ride about on Chicken Chasers, talk about fingering girls, and sell small quantities of drugs; we call them "Teenagers".

Was brilliant that. Calzaghe had absolutely no fear of Hopkins. I was so glad they gave that decisions to Joe. Soapy Bernard is one of the least likeable great fighters of all time for me.

Dillian isn't on road. He's a professional boxer and doing well for himself. Being 'on road' is just slang for being an active professional criminal, and a fake roadman will be someone exactly like you mentioned, a teenager who dresses and talks the part but actually isn't living the life. Teenagers in tracksuits are not 'roadmen' which is really a bit of an antiquated term. Regardless, saying Northern kids don't care about it means that you're old, because your youngsters are listening to Drill and being influenced by it. There's plenty of thriving drill scenes in Northern towns.

You might think it's the worst thing on earth but those are Northern 'teenagers' and there are plenty of Northern kids 'on road', or at least acting like they are. It's not just a Southern thing.

I’ve no idea what a roadman is. I haven’t seen/heard Dillian talk about it but maybe he did. It’s all talk and rubbish. Tyson’s a master at talking rubbish so I can understand why Whyte doesn’t want to get involved with it.

Well he was a violent barely literate drug dealer from a minority community who started off, by his own admission, robbing other kids of their trainers because they had more money than him.
So he doesn't have to wish it. He was it.

No. That's certainly true. They rap about stuff they've actually done and get convicted over their own lyrics. They are an especially stupid group of criminals, granted.
But my point stays the same, that saying Northern lads don't even know what a road man is, that's not the case. All over the country, there are dumbo kids acting like that.
Also, just as an aside, these kids use Drill music as a way to wind other areas and postcodes up, and people get killed over dis tracks and stupid little territorial squabbles: beefs that go back years, sometimes people barely know why they're feuding with another area. Some echoes and parallels in the gypsy traveler call out videos I suppose, if I wanted to get all analytical about it.

I'm pretty sure Whyte has done what is in his contract, maybe the bare minimum - and all under legal advisement
He hasn't so far. His contract states he must make 'Reasonable efforts to promote the fight'. If he doesn't up his efforts Frank can withold his purse and see him in court.
If Whyte intends to fight, he better show up for the fight week press conferences because if he doesn't he faces the very real prospect of losing a big chunk of his fight purse.

It's nothing new the 19th century novel Lorna Doone is pretty much the same story of 1 group of stupid young men having a fighting rivalry with another group of stupid young men with some Romeo and Juliet thrown in for good measure. These rappers are missing a trick there
