AJ called the first bluff.

Things start getting serious.. then Fury starts all his usual nonsense.

True - its frustrating enough for the fans but imagine being the promoters and legal / contractual team having to deal with John and Tyson

Like they didn't find an excuse for the Wilder fight or Buatsi-Pascal?

They made Wilder several offers which were rejected. From memory Wilder made an offer on Twitter which AJ had to agree to before anything would be taken further. In reality he needed to make sure he didn’t break his contractual commitments and see a proper deal before doing anything so I’m not surprised he didn’t simply agree to a social media post.

Re: Buatsi/Pascal, I think Eddie simply didn’t want him to fight on BT. The Pascal drugs stuff and not having VADA included in the contract is a justified excuse though. It shouldn’t have got that far. Buatsi was interviewed at the weekend and seemed to firmly think it didn’t happen due to the lack of VADA.

Negotiating a fight through social media is the biggest indicator that Fury didn't want it. It's a great pity that one of the Heavyweight Champions is a bottle job. It harms the sport. Thankfully, there is a real Heavyweight Champion ( Uysk) that Boxing fans and the wider public can respect

Yeh, you don’t see the Chisora fight being mentioned at all on socials. Why so different when it’s AJ?

I'd imagine AJ would involve a far more thorough camp. He can half arse a camp for Del. The media are reporting AJ refusing the fight as fact now.

Having seen Fury vs Chisora I and II, are you excited about seeing it again? Do you think it will be a different outcome?

No to both. The first one was a good fight! Live on C5 yet we got AJ v Whyte on ppv for the same belt just a few years later....

I suspect AJ didn't want to waste any more time on it as he knew that Chisora already had a contract.

I think Fury has seen what Jake Paul is doing etc and has now moved to that model: use his personality/fan base to promote a fight and take on guaranteed victories.

I think also he is filming a documentary so definitely doesn't want to lose whilst filming that.

I anticipate it being Charr or someone similar next March. Definitely won't be Uysk/Joshua/Ruiz or Joyce.

Ooh, someone with inside knowledge. Nudge, nudge, wink, 😉

Actions speak louder than words, and by the 4 December Fury will have boxed Whyte and Chisora in a 14 month period. That doesn't inspire confidence in Fury's confidence to take on the best.

Uysk was never going to be available in December so it is a bit disengenerous to say that he turned the Fury fight down.

I hope they do fight next year but it would come as a big surprise.
