At the rate elmer updates his list I'll have about 200 on my P4P list by the Time he gets to his Top 15.

In recognition of Mexico's Independence Day in September. I figure I'll spend a good deal of my downtime in the month recapping the careers of some of the Sports Great Mexican Legends whom I haven't already covered.
Olivares is one of the fighters I've got my eye on. Along with Salvador Sanchez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Pipino Cuevas and I'll throw a few Mexican Americans in there with Bobby Chacon and Danny Lopez if I can. Will be fun to watch all those guys' fights back.

Olivares was one of the first great Mexican fighters I watched. Dude was pure action and a great puncher. Very underrated, if rated at all, by today’s’ “fans.”
