A) An injured Holmes, nursing a tender shoulder, gets stopped by Foreman. Somewhere around the fourth, in my book.

B) Dempsey is just plain better than Marciano. He gets off the deck once to drop Marciano twice, & eventually stop him on cuts & swelling through seven exciting rounds.

C) I've just never seen Holyfield as that much of a match for Louis. Too willing, & too wide-open, without enough fight-turning power of his own. Louis stops him in nine, IMO. It's somewhat competitive, but you know the winner ahead of time.

D) Johnson spoils & makes life difficult, but doesn't have the work-rate in the end. Ali by UD.

A) Foreman stops Dempsey in three. Both men are floored in round one, but Foreman's size & style advantages prove decisive in the end. Dempsey barely (& bravely) beats the ref's count after his third flooring of the fight in round three, & is rescued.

B) Louis recovers from an early knockdown to stop Ali in a crowd-pleasing fight through fourteen rounds. Ali surrenders his 7-5-1, 7-6, 7-6 lead on all cards on the back of a sizzling straight right which staggers him into the ropes, & the follow-up proves too severe & precise for recovery. The manic Ali of the 60's would chase him like a madman for a return bout.
