McCallum decisions Antuofermo, as does Elorde with Fenech.
Felix Trinidad vs. Carmen Basilio at Welter. 15 rounds...
Diego Corrales & Ray Mancini go at it on the undercard!

A) An injured Holmes, nursing a tender shoulder, gets stopped by Foreman. Somewhere around the fourth, in my book.
B) Dempsey is just plain better than Marciano. He gets off the deck once to drop Marciano twice, & eventually stop him on cuts & swelling through seven exciting rounds.
C) I've just never seen Holyfield as that much of a match for Louis. Too willing, & too wide-open, without enough fight-turning power of his own. Louis stops him in nine, IMO. It's somewhat competitive, but you know the winner ahead of time.
D) Johnson spoils & makes life difficult, but doesn't have the work-rate in the end. Ali by UD.
----------
A) Foreman stops Dempsey in three. Both men are floored in round one, but Foreman's size & style advantages prove decisive in the end. Dempsey barely (& bravely) beats the ref's count after his third flooring of the fight in round three, & is rescued.
B) Louis recovers from an early knockdown to stop Ali in a crowd-pleasing fight through fourteen rounds. Ali surrenders his 7-5-1, 7-6, 7-6 lead on all cards on the back of a sizzling straight right which staggers him into the ropes, & the follow-up proves too severe & precise for recovery. The manic Ali of the 60's would chase him like a madman for a return bout.
-----------
A) Louis knocks out Foreman in six of the most exciting rounds of the tournament.

To complete the trifecta of stupidity in relation to the last two replies, Holmes knocks out Foreman in one.
Jack Sharkey vs. Earnie Shavers

Holmes would outpoint Foreman, with ease. If you don't know that then you don't know boxing.

That's signature material right there.

Jack Sharkey vs. Earnie Shavers
Could b a long fight cuz that Sharkey was one tricky pony n Shavers could huv a hard tyme findin him, but Shavers is impossible if not impossible to KO so I'll say Shavers n a fancy majoryti decision.
Next up, and much harder to predict thr results:
Shavers vs Chuvalo 15 rds 21:00 PM
Shavers vs McCall 12 rds 23:30 PM

He was making fun of the two ridiculous answers before him, thus completing the "trifecta" of stupid answers he gave his own answers as "Holmes KO1 Foreman".
I understand what he said. I assumed (rightly or wrongly) that Irene would think Foreman would win.

I can remember when I didn't know anything about boxing. Don't worry about it Irene, you'll figure it out eventually.

The Holyfield that beat Dokes & Douglas, throws and lands too many punches. His chin is so good, he doesn't go down. He outworks Norton and wins every round.
Do you honestly think that Foreman would beat Holmes in 1992? And 1977?

I honestly think you have watched Boxing for a while --- you just don't know how to interpret what you're looking at.

Moore beats SRR by a fairly close UD in a competitive fight that shows Moore spoiling a lot of Robinson's tricks by virtue of his sheer strength advantage.
Aaron Pryor with the black bottle vs. Felix Trinidad with the loaded wraps

You didn't answer the question. Do you think Foreman would beat Holmes in 1977 and 1992?

Would I favour Foreman in 77? No.
Would I in 92? Sure.

Tunney in a wide points decision as he puts in a defensive masterclass.

No contest that one. A win for the Boston Strong Boy by Knockout as Butterbean tires himself out trying to chase him.
Battle of the Argentinians.
Carlos Monzon v Sergio Martinez 12 rounds Middleweight.

Chase him? Chase him? Without wishing to impeculiate you sir, WTF planet are you on where John L. Sullivan would be running away from Butterbean? As opposed to, say, killing him stone dead?
Anyway, lest this descend into GI-style handbags at dawn, I shall overlook it & move on to answer your question:
As big as my man-crush is for Sergio (& it's pretty big), Monzon hunted down & beat the ever-living shite out of fighters far slicker & trickier than Martinez.
Late stoppage or wide points for Carlos.
More even:
Sergio Gabriel Martinez vs Hugo Corro, 12 rounds, middleweight.
