I was apprehensive after paying to get the fight online (plus the extra expence from the various cables to get it on my TV)

But I've got to be honest, I haven't really got any complaints about the quality of the stream, barring the picture freezing twice during the fight for no longer than 30/60 seconds each. Which I believe is more down to my broadband connection than anything else.

So its a :TU: from me !!!

Also like to send my gratitude to GOmez and jtourettes for telling me how to get the picture transferred from my laptop to my TV, it worked a treat :TU: :TU:

Maybe thats why it was better , the only time i tried to watch a stream was Amir vs Fagen and it was un watchable.
My Virgin media recently got upgraded to 10 meg ( think thats the term ) and it was good.

i prefer watching on Tv if its someone i really want to see or my mates are up
but the Free stream was good enough for me last night.

Ill be buying the Haye fight though , wouldnt pay money for Froch as not to keen on him

wasnt pausing Etc.
Problems with pausing are often due to your own broadband. Mine can be between 100KBPS and a mega a second.

Yes, but thats illegal, isn't it?

Unless you mean a legit free stream after the event or similar.

My mate stumbled home pissed last night, put on ch 480 around the time of the Froch fight and got to watch it for free. I think with the weight of complaints/problems they must have decided to unscramble the signal to make sure most of the people who paid would get to see it: a bi product of this decision was that a handful of lucky piss heads got to tune in for nowt!

Yep. If you watched it on a stream you missed out as Primetime ended up broadcasting it on the TV for nothing anyway.

Hope it stays on cos I've paid naff all. :D
That's how I got it, baby woke me up, so i took her downstairs to let the missus sleep, put the telly on and it was halfway through round 1.

:OhYes:

They took my payment via the internet, Abraham/Taylor wasnt shown, when i phoned up to see what was up they said my viewing number didnt exist.

Listened to it on Fivelive for a round and jus switched 480 on on the off chance and it was on. Now ive heard it was shown for free even though ive paid.

Hennessy Sports are a joke promotion and i wish them nothing but failure in the future. A lot of us on this site may criticise a certain promoter but you cant argue with the access he grants his fighters.

Mick Hennessy, i hope youre deeply ashamed.

i watched the AA v JT fight on the german porno dish, then i watched the froch fight with my mate justin on his dot tv... all in all a free night.

listen lads, the next time these cheapo sat dishes pop up in lidl then you must get one, they have the capacity to receive from up to 13 satellites, and the astra 19.2 east one holds maybe 150+ tv channels. great stuff.

Was the fight delayed?

It's just that once I'd got over the surprise of seeing it was on for naff all, I was surprised to see it was only the first round. :-?

I'm gonna take a step back here:

It seemed to me that PrimeTime were not solid gold in all this, but it would appear that the lion's share of the aggro was caused by the Sky Platform and this 3rd-party call centre's set up.

I flagged up a few concerns direct to Adam at Primtime on the mobile and he was driving to the call centre to try and get these problems remedied. I informed him about the sky viewing card's being rejected by the automated system and he was as fed up as the customer's themselves.

I told them how a mate was struggling to book it and to be fair one of the bosses at PrimeTime rang him up personally to get the story and then they rung him back to confirm it was now set up.

Everyone says the stream worked fine and was good quality.

But i've heard loads of people scorch the TV broadcast for going blank, audio going and coming back and freezing.

wel i watched on a free stream, which was only on my mobile broadband card on my netbook and it was absolutely perfect. no staggering or pauses whatsoever. picture quality wasn't amazing, but who cares, it was free and it worked.

i tried to sign up from my mates, but even if we had of had a working phone line it would not have worked as their automated system did not recognise his viewing card number.

sounds like many people had a very bad service, which is inexcusable given they were charging 15 nicker for a service which wasnt properly supported.

The TV feed audio kept cutting on the Abraham / Taylor fight and the screen went blank for 10 seconds after the fight finished.

Apart from that the TV broadcast wasn't too bad

Does anybody know if the fight will be replayed at all (none ppv)?

I watched on channel 480. No adverts. No bookies' odds every round to tell me the bleeding obvious. Jim Rosenthal fighting to keep composure whilst trying to get a word in. Lovely stuff :TU:

Don't eurosport usually repeat fights?

I remember seeing a few of Hattons fights on there a couple of weeks afterwards.

Lets hope not, anyone who tunes into the fight isn't exactly going to be salivating to watch the rest of the tournament.

With Froch fight not good to watch this won't help his cause getting on a better channel for next fight. Unless he changes promotors!

Surely Froch v Kessler wont be on this channel!

I didn't have any problems with the ordering of the fight or the quality of it. I watched it on the Sky platform , but ordered it via the web

Surely Hennessy can sort out a better tv deal for Kessler v Froch?
