Enough with the excuses. Mitchell was quality tonight. Stop looking for excuses for the Katsidis shellacking. It's all about levels.
Top banana tonight, he called it beforehand perfectly.
No excuses , Mitchell was the better fighter tonight.
but when he was the man with money in his pocket , he blew the big fight against Katsidis. This time when he had learnt from his mistakes and had nothing in his pocket, he trained and did everything right.
Good luck to him, he showed class in that interview as well.

Size isn't the issue here. We don't start crowning teams champions of England after beating championship sides.
Levels people. Levels. Mitchell has stopped a decent European operator tonight. Let's not get carried away

Money talks. If there was a Brit that would make a good homecoming fight for Khan, it'd happen, whether they're amazing or shite.

Me too.
There is something about a fighter coming back from a devastating loss and producing a performance like that which deserves a massive show of respect. Hopefully Mitchell can get another shot at a title although I think Rios is all wrong for him. Hard to believe he is still only 26 aswell.

And one who is rated the 5th best lightweight in the world by Ring Magazine.
Let's not start the "Murray was never that good anyway". It took a great performance by Mitchell to beat him tonight.

I'm not saying he'd beat Khan, just that I don't think he'd be afraid of him. I find the mental side interesting, because I often think that Khan's frightened of those he can't intimidate or lock down.

Have to agree with that sentiment. I am a Murray fan mainly cos he's a Manchester lad, Mitchell lost a lot of my respect for the Katsidis showing but tonight he earned a lot of my respect back. He stood up to what Murray gave him and came out the better man. Quality fight.

Yeh split decision, looked like he landed a fair few punches based on the very brief highlights. Certainly not impressive from Gavin any way you look at it, Gavin really being shown up a bit in his last few fights. Well done Curtis even though you got beat, think you did enough there to earn a lot of respect.

I think I overrated Gavin and underrated Woodhouse as I had been backing Frankie to stop Woodhouse for a while now. It's possible we are looking too much into Frankies achievements as an amateur, different story in the pros and all that jazz. That's two seemingly below par performances on the trot. Well done Woodhouse though, you did yourself proud tonight.
