SPlease stop changing the titles of threads. It'sannoying when you click on a thread to read about the topic and see post from last week and have to start going through the thread to get to the new posts.

I heard they're already signed a contract with Glazkov prior to the Martin fight, but the injury put a spanner in the works! Worked out okay in the end though!

It's always been a case they make sure the ink is dry until announcing. Remember how we reacted when there was a full blown press conference for Chisora v Malik Scott and 10 minutes after it finished Scotts team made a press release saying they had clearly asked for nothing to be announced as it wasn't signed. Chisora ended up fighting someone else.

It's interesting that Hearn seems confident that, should Joshua win the title, he will be allowed to have two voluntary defences (one in June, one in November) before any mandatories.
All being well, his 2016 could go Martin - Chisora - Scott (for example) which would be a decent run of opponents anyway and is the first mandatory not likely to be Glazkov? Would be great to have Joshua vs Fury in summer 2017, both as undefeated champions

Wow, he was literally all over the place there. But he took some pretty big cracks there and seemed alright. I guess the head guard softens the blow a bit...? Let's hope his defence is a bit more upgraded by the time he meets Martin

I don't really understand how the mandatory defences work. Do the ABC bodies just make the rules as they go long? Or do they all have a standard procedure? Fury was stripped of the belt immediately not giving him any voluntaries.
Also, do we know how serious the knee injury is to Glazkov?

It seems the IBF does.

It is an absolute disgrace. This really is criminal.
I'd write to my local MP and ask for him to table a motion if he could actually stay sober

Unfortunately you know they'll still comfortably sell out. They should employ similar tactics they use at Glastonbury, and have to have a picture on your ticket so you can't sell it on.
