When people compare him to Fury then their opponents should be compared.

Fury was negative versus a top 10 P4P opponent. Skeete was negative against a decent British & Commonwealth champion.

If Skeete needs to be that negative to get a win at this level then he isn't going much further.

I don't think either Fury or Skeete were negative. They boxed smartly against a big puncher. It's boxing. That's what you're supposed to do.

I know it's great fun to watch to sluggers going at it but there are many different styles. Fury fought the perfect style against an ageing fighter with good power who likes to land then grab then lean. Skeete fought a great fight against a raw, but very strong, opponent who wanted to trade but Skeete wouldn't let get set up to do that.

He wasn't lame or terrible or running. He was boxing smartly.

Because he's a boxer.

Would anybody in there right mind pay to watch Skeete ?

Nobody compared him to Fury they compared his performance vs Wlad, what did you think of Fury's performance against Chisora? Did you find it entertaining? Do you remember how the ref had to teach Fury how to throw a jab properly?

All in all had a decent night, couple of the fights I thought would be more competitive went early but oh well.

Really good real domestic title fight (both lads the top two domestically at their weight) with contrasting styles and one came out just on top (I scored it by two on the night to Skeete but may have been a bit bias towards Eggoington second guessign rounds I hoped he'd get the nod in as the agressor).

Agreed, it was a Matchroom bill I've enjoyed more than any other for a long time. The main event wasn't thrilling but I thought it was good quality and interesting. Skeete is a really good quality long range boxer, a pleasure to watch at times

I think Skeete and his team deserve great credit for the improvement he has shown in the last couple of years. He is far more entertaining to watch than Gavin.
