I thought you meant for Saturday. That's just the promoter spinning for the future and probably trying to derail Wilder suing him for his purse.

Favouring the production of energy from glucose is not the same as inhibiting the production of energy from fat.
But then, even if it worked, then it still wouldn't make any sense, why such a long time before the match, why such an uncredebly low amount, why something that works for like a day and is traceble for many many months, why this instead of all those far more succesfull things?

This medicine is like the ideal thing to catch someone for and outside of that it's pretty much useless. Especially if you stay 15 times lower as the moment Wada actually considers it as a positive test. I know weed isn't allowed either, but as far as I know that's useless as well. That's also why I dislike Mayweather far above Arreola for example.

Wilder went to America yesterday as far as I know, he was probably never planning to show up for the fight at all.

Yeah, going to Europe for 2 weeks and booking a flight to Moscow yesterday was probably just a big game.

yeah I just read that it was postponed indefinitely, so basically that means its off. Wilder needs a replacement. Better get Zack Page on the phone.

Cos there was no fight so Wilder should go home. I knew day before yesterday there would be no fight because of Povetkin.

Nobody beside Wilder's team said that there would be no fight. He was just happy to have a pretext to run away.

You'll have to ask Povetkin why he took it, all that is proven is that he took it.
But it would also make training longer and harder possible.

Possibly it was taken last year and stored in his fat, possibly the evidence Sharapova shows at her hearing will tell us more.

I've been as big a critic of Wilder as anyone, but at this point all fault is with Povetkin for the fight not happening.

Which he already openly admitted, he took it ages ago, why did you use an asparine 10 years ago, did it ever make you feel guilty during any sportmatch at all? Sharapova openly admitted using it for well over 10 years and simply not knowing it was putted on the list recently.

You just have to look at the situation and how it gets dealt with to know. Let me educate you..

Now at anytime if you're to do a doping test you want to???...pass or fail?? that's right you want to pass it. If you fail for using PEDs what usually happens? Now when I say usually it really should be ALWAYS. That's right if you are tested positive for PEDs you can not continue in your upcoming event.

Get it now?..come on people really

You missed my point we don't know accurately how long meldonium stays in the body, so it's possible he could be telling the truth.
But the athlete is responsible for what is in their body, so they need to explain why they tested positive.

Oh so the fights on? Because you asdfjkl that Povetkin doesn't even know or care about said he passed. What a joke. You should be ashamed of yourself, you're an absolute joke of a person.

By all accounts it is out of your system quickly. That would be backed up by the tests he passed on April 7th, 8th and 11th if they're telling the truth about the small traces on the 26th. He took it in between and got popped.

When we are talking about such small amounts, those "negative" tests could have just missed them.

Yes, Povetkin is responsible for any meldonium above 1 microgramm in his body, and VADA is responsible for accuracy of its tests.

The guy promoting the fight is the one that keeps going on and on about the small amount and he's talking about allowable levels for a banned substance. They got popped and he's trying to save face. Happens all the time.

Do you have any data to disprove him ? Are you saying that he just comes up with random numbers when VADA and WBC could easilly prove him wrong ?

Where are you getting 1mcg from?

In those circumstances, WADA said, if the athlete “could not reasonably have known” the substance would still be present in his or her body after Jan. 1, then “a finding of no fault or negligence may be made.”

The memo added that rulings on cases in which tests taken before March had shown concentrations lower than 15 micrograms should be delayed while the agency’s labs established excretion times more precisely.
After March 1st, 15 microgram became 1 microgram. The only problem for Povetkin are those "negative" tests.

the fight is off, so it isn't his responsibility to prove or disprove the promoter's claims.
VADA tests are done by WADA acredited labs. go to the WADA site and look up their list
of labs if you doubt the organization that does the olympic testing. marion jones never
tested positive, but eventually wound up going to prison for lying about what she took
under oath. there are ways to beat tests if you know the testers are coming in advance.
these investigations are not conducted publicly, so the real numbers and facts will come
out when the investigation is completed. the only fact we know is the fight is off because
povetkin tested for this stuff in enough quantity to call off the fight.
