Not quite on par with her performance on the Haye-Bellew card, but this is once again a joy to watch

did the Macus Morrison fight prior to this not show Mr. Smith that building a record on bums doesn't really mean anything till you step up?rossij8 wrote:She is good but fighting journeywomen so far?sammy95 wrote:Not quite on par with her performance on the Haye-Bellew card, but this is once again a joy to watch

She's obviously a good fighter, and anyone who saw her in the ams should know that. I can't really get into the 'wow, she's so special, this is a treat' mood against these types of opponents though.
Milena Koleva is a former world title challenger lets not forget, hard to judge what the levels are in womens boxing are, as I have never followed it before. But, the Morrison point is a good one - though I suspect it wont be the same case with Taylor and her ridiculous talent and pedigree.wesshaw1985 wrote:did the Macus Morrison fight prior to this not show Mr. Smith that building a record on bums doesn't really mean anything till you step up?rossij8 wrote:She is good but fighting journeywomen so far?sammy95 wrote:Not quite on par with her performance on the Haye-Bellew card, but this is once again a joy to watch
She's only just turned pro.crusader wrote:Ya, she looks good beating up these poor opponents.

Who is she meant to be fighting?
shes got pedigree no doubt but the over exaggeration against this opposition just isn't necessary...sammy95 wrote:Milena Koleva is a former world title challenger lets not forget, hard to judge what the levels are in womens boxing are, as I have never followed it before. That girl with Linares was really stacked.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Taylor will never main event a show unless its a "really" stacked card.
Agreed. She could breast feed a creche that oneTrudge wrote:That girl with Linares was really stacked.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Taylor will never main event a show unless its a "really" stacked card.
It seems like her team means for her to face clubfighters and journeywomen. I understand that these types of opponents are standard for new pros (barrings Lomachenko anomalies), but I find it hard to get very excited over prospects bashing them up like this.Horse wrote:She's only just turned pro.crusader wrote:Ya, she looks good beating up these poor opponents.

I enjoy watching her box, and I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing her live at Wembley (though I am up in the Gods). I'm not saying she is the second coming etc yet, but I am enjoying her professional career thus far.wesshaw1985 wrote:shes got pedigree no doubt but the over exaggeration against this opposition just isn't necessary...sammy95 wrote:Milena Koleva is a former world title challenger lets not forget, hard to judge what the levels are in womens boxing are, as I have never followed it before. They have, and people often complain about them being overly hyped.ILikeBeer wrote:rossij8 wrote:Its not the fighters, its the hypeHorse wrote:She's only just turned pro.

Yes. Because no male fighters have ever been hyped early.
