Whoa, didn't realise Wlad poked ahead. Approaching 200 votes now though - everyone is engaged in this fight! Still pretty tight though.

The closer it's getting, the more I'm thinking it will be a one-sided win for Sir Humble. To the point I'm not even sure I'm gonna bother with previous plans to go to the pub for it.

Just see His Royal Humbleness stopping an old, washed up, gun-shy Wlad early doors and us all having to bow down for the next six months while we ignore this is a 40+ yr old Wlad, far, far from his prime.

The only thing keeping my hope of it being decent alive? The fact I'm often wrong.

I'm a massive wlad fanboy. Taking confidence that wlad chose AJ not the otherway. Wlad could have faced Parker for a title but picked AJ

Wlad's only chance really is to test the AJ chin, and since he's not got a lot to lose, at this stage of his long career, why not pull that trigger ? And for all his faults, I thought the way he took out a fired up Puvlev 2 years back was relatively impressive, considering the cautious Wlad we're all used to....I recall he was shaken badly, but came firing back & flattened the big man.

This is surely who lands first, considering the weight behind the shots of either man...could be interesting, wise money is on AJ, but who knows if big Wlad decides he thinks AJ might be vulnerable and tests that chin early...personally I think Joshua's chin is good, but both will be vulnerable to a really big shot landing.

It would be nice if Wlad gives a chin-check, but I can only see AJ getting there first.

We thought Fury vs Klitschko was a guaranteed KO either way but Fury came in to stink the joint out.

I'm trying to envisage this one going the distance. Wlad, we know, is incredibly cowardly tactically and will do everything in his power to avoid taking risks. If he outclasses Joshua with his jab, then he could just ride it out for 12 rounds. Clueless Joshua would receive a few right hands and not know what to do and continue to get outboxed. This is one way I can see it going 12. If Joshua wins, I think it will be a stoppage

Yeah of course you're right that is a possibility also, I mean Joshua is still a novice really. Though I think there was never much of case of seeing Fury knocking out Wlad.

Klitschko's jab is lauded as one of the best, and sets up his opponents nicely. But I don't see that working against AJ. How often do we see Joshua walk on to shots? Will Joshua's lateral movement be too good for Wlad to land? The key will be how quick is Wlad, and can he compete with the speed of AJ?

I bet that in his quiet moments just before he struggles to get to sleep Joshua is beginning to get the jitters. He's had only one real contest since he turned pro, against Whyte, and he had a bit of a struggle. Whyte to be blunt is pretty average, big strong, and slow. Klitschko is his first test.
Fury beat the Ukrainian because he totally confused him, but Joshua can only fight one way. When he feels that battering ram of a jab land solidly and he can't close the distance, he will know he's out his depth for the first time. By the 8th or 9th round Sky Sports, Matchroom and all Joshua's sycophants within his own circle of boxing friends will be realising they are watching the boxing version of the ' Emperors new clothes ' . Knockout victory for Klitschko, in the 9th or 10th round with the part-time boxing public looking on with their mouths open.

What lateral movement is that? The guy just walks in straight lines. It works fine against shorter, physically smaller opponents who he can just bulldoze, but don't think it will help much against someone the same size who can judge distance well and has one of the best jabs in recent times.

I tend to agree here. This will define what AJ is about. But still feel if he wins people will say Klit was over the hill and Fury made him old over night.

I think AJ needs a convincing win but has to be in a battle to make haters love.

I feel queasy just reading that.... I'm not sure I could watch such a programme without spewing every ten minutes....

Stuff like this really makes me hope Wlad Kos him spectacularlya and early.... then I can see Adam smith and camp Eddie look as nauseous as I would watching this....

I thought the popular vote was on the Englishman funnily enough.....I was even being swayed myself. But this last week or so I’ve changed my mind. I don’t think Klitscko is too old or too done.
I think he’ll be too good for Joshua. It will need to be a masterclass or a snoozefest, because if he hurts Joshua then Joshua will rally and then it becomes dangerous.
But I think Klitschko will find a way to take his sting away, and win the fight.

I voted Joshua because that's who I'd put money on to win this fight based on the last two fights I've seen Wlad have, and the fact he's old now.

I keep picturing a Wlad left hook though!

I was expecting to come in here and see AJ as a runaway favourite.

Not sure who to go for on this one. Wlad has become very good at using everything in his arsenal to avoid taking punches. He's mauled, clinched, spoiled and occasionally jabbed his way through dozens of challengers. AJ's inexperience has me questioning what he's going to do when he gets in there. There's a lot of questions about the lad that's barely been hit, barely gone past the halfway stage of a championship fight and hasn't fought anyone that'd not get beaten by the Wlad that Fury faced.

If I'm going to stick my neck out on this one, I can see a close decision in a mauling, clinching sloppy encounter - with AJ by a point or two.
