Uysk learning it seems!

Just said Bellew is an option.

Absolute whitewash, mismatch.

All Hearn fighters lead to Joshua though, toying with Bellew bumps his image here

Fair play to Bellew if he pushes for the fight. He's better of fighting Fury.

Apart from when Hopkins did it 14 years ago :geek:
Or when Crawford done it last year
Lol. Yeah, exactly
But apart from Hopkins & Crawford, no one has ever done it before.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY THAT ALL FOUR BELTS HAVE BEEN AROUND THE WAIST OF ONE MAN

Towards the end I started thinking about Usyk-Fury. That'd be interesting.

I had it slightly closer at 117-111, but in spite of not wanting to favour Usyk for his highly evolved spoiling at times, his footwork and turnaways were seldom less than superb. I wonder if that foot flick's a way of checking where his balance is at? Might just be a tick. I did notice that he wasn't loading on his rear leg very much, so not really threatening with his left in the pocket. And so I think it was the combination of Gassiev's lack of head movement and Usyk's ability to push away off his lead leg that kept him safe.

It's no good sensing that someone's off-balance for a hard counter if you telegraph your rush and give them time to kickback and load. In the event, Usyk's preference was to reestablish his winning range. This is where someone who rolls like OG Tyson could seriously upset his rhythm, or alternatively, someone with a bit more height and reach.

Wow. Never expected that to be so one sided. A bit disappointed in Gassiev, thought he'd have at least shown a bit more in terms of cutting off the ring. Not taking anything away from Usyk though, his footwork and engine are incredible. Genuine argument for him being top 5 P4P as well. Glowacki in Poland, Huck in Germany, Briedis in Latvia and now Gassiev in Russia. Solid wins over Mchunu and Hunter as well. Unbelievable resume for a 15 fight career. Don't think anyone else at Cruiserweight troubles him.

Probably, but I don't think he's as good as Haye was. More skilful, but not as dangerous.

And when it comes to rating Haye, it's important to say whether we're talking about the 200lb era exclusively or not. Because Haye obviously falls below Holyfield if we include 190. And then if you rate Haye and Usyk against anyone who ever fought at ~200 it opens the floodgates.

I'd love to have seen Haye versus Foster; Usyk versus Patterson...

haye at cruiser had many tough fights, he was really good but imo a bit overated.

given absolute hell by thompson (loss), mormeck, and mock. given a tough hard fight by fragomeni. he wasnt old or worn down for any of those fights.

seems like ppl just look at the enzo blastout like that was hayes whole cruiser career. there memory sticks more to the highlight reel pure force stuff. but reality is that hes had far more problems then usyk and vs a lower level of opposition. he was a major puncher but flawed in other ways. he had many problems and enzo mac is a top two win for him, so not much depth or real dominance.

at hw he actually settled in, began to box more, and was more durable. vs bigger guys. seems like he felt he needed to be more measured. i think he was actually better at hw and wish that hed gone for vitali rather then wlad. vitali of 2011 who fought del was looking slow and creaky and imo haye wouldve had a good chance. a lot of ppl underestimate how sharp wlad was and specifically how good he was with his feet.. he was really good with the quick half step back. in 2011 he was much better then his brother.

Just caught up on YouTube, masterclass, he made it look easy, people going a bit OT saying he'll beat AJ though, be interesting to see how he does at HW though, he'd box the absolute ear off Wilder IMO.

Yeah he's way too skilled and fast, as long as he avoids those daft shots it'll be an easy night I reckon, there also isn't much of a weight advantage, despite being 6'7" wilder is just over 15 stone I think

Yeah he was just over 15 for Ortiz! Scary! I'm 6'4 and 16 and a half stone. Think it'd kill me to get to 15
