But how do you visualise Khan pulling it off?
By out-speeding him? Crawford is quicker than Khan!
By outsmarting him? Crawford has a much, much higher ring IQ than Khan!
By knocking him out? Crawford has shown no susceptibility to big punches, and Khan isn't a big puncher!
By dragging him into a brawl? A man with Crawford's incredible accuracy is not going to come off second best in a brawl with someone as fragile as Khan.

I don't see any way Khan does it. He hasn't won a title fight since 2011, has never fought anyone of such high quality, and is carrying the damage of a lot of nasty KDs and KOs. I can only see him getting imprinted on the canvas like a sponsor's logo. Almost certainly in round 1.

Crawford could have all the speed of a drunk who has just loaded up on a large doner kebab & still spark Khan

This is just not a competitive fight

Khan is quicker than Crawford I agree?but what does that matter?this aint going to the cards

I was looking at Khan's resume..... I think some of the criticisms he has had is slightly unjust. Sure he clearly doesn't want the Brook fight - and to be honest I don't blame him. Khan has his UK career to fall back on, should he lose in the states - but like Hatton (with Witter) a loss to Brook would mean the end. He wouldn't be able to comeback from that and I feel that would have been the case no matter when they fought.

But Khan has fought quite a stream of ex and future world champions - who whilst not in the Mayweather / Pacquiao echelons were pretty good champion. I'm sure made a poll about who was the best champion and it was between Khan and Witter I am pretty sure Witter would win that poll, but actually Khan does have a much better resume.

He deserves a certain amount of stick, no doubt, but its not like though he hasn't fought inflated opposition to warrant these big money fights - his resume contains a fair few world class wins (and losses yes).

And barring Prescott he has always been competitive.
No doubt he has elite skills and is damn entertains, which is why he has earned the big bucks and has broken into the US market.

Yep, if Khan had a chin and sense of defense he'd be top 10 p4p... shame

khan has fought a whole range of good opponents, from elite p4p fighters to very solid belt holders and contenders. canelo, crawford, maidana, garcia, judah, peterson, kotelnik, alexander, etc

its not just like brook where he has a few really good opponents then a whole bunch of trash

Enjoyed Khan's career and think he was unlucky in some respects but at the same time he's managed to get the big cash fights.
This fight won't even be competitiv for 3 rounds. I think Crawford will KO him when he choses.

There's an element of devil's advocate in this, but look at Crawford's record. Yes, he's won every fight and looked good doing it, but has he fought anyone with Khan's speed?

Majority of Crawford's wins came at lightweight, and who's he fought at welter? Horn? Anyone else?

If Khan can keep his chin away from Crawford, could he get a points win?

Actually, i've just read that last sentence back. Keeping his chin away from anyone hasn't been Khan's strong point has it?

I agree actually. Crawford should win but...
He hasn't got any top names on his resume and especially at welter.

I'd have picked Crawford against a prime Khan so this version of Khan has no chance, except the merest glimmer of a puncher's chance, if he tags TC very early and TC isn't properly warmed up; he has slightly more chance than Anythony Crolla had last weekend, but that isn't saying much.

Be funny if Khan won, the trolling of Brook and Hearn would be out of this world” yeah I’ll fight Kell at Wembley for 95/5 percent”

I hope Khan does it. If he just fights one round at a time.

He starts getting carried away and looking for a stoppage.

That’s when he gets caught.

To win he has to land punches, to land punches he has to come into range, and at that time, he will encounter the accurate fists of Crawford which will rain on him from weird unpredictable angles. Can only envision an LKO1 for Khan, and I have 100% accuracy predicting the round he goes down!

Khan is much bigger and faster, Crawford can be a slow starter, so I think Khan takes the first three rounds. All he hasd to do after that is win four more and keep his chin out of the way. Tyson and SRL both say punch resistance is mostly mental and I agree and Khan will be right up for this one. I think he will surprise a lot of people with his performance..

Yeah thats the main issue. Dropped by an ancient Julio Diaz, Gomez, Willie Limond, Vargas & hurt by Algeri. All guys that shouldn’t have been tagging him so clean.

So you have to expect a master boxer like Crawford will be able to find that chin. But I have loads of respect for Khan for taking this fight and I’d be happy if the unthinkable happened and he pulled it off.
