When has Ruiz ever been immobile ? Let alone completely immobile ? He’s got very very fast hands, fast feet, very good varied and fast combinations, great chin, good jab and punches on his way in and on way out and with plenty of lateral and head movement to go with it, he will cause plenty of problems imo, his undoing and what will let him down will be he just won’t be big enough that’s it, what gives anyone the opinion that this will be a 1-2 round blowout is beyond me, Joshua stoppage % on his record doesn’t tell the full story, he’s most certainly not a 1 punch knockout artist or massive concussive puncher to take Ruiz out imo who has never shown any signs of fragility in that department, also Joshua’s inactivity and fighting a smaller, more mobile and faster man will add to problems, Ruiz has spent his while fighting career fighting bigger men hence the way he works his way in beyond his jab and head movement so it’s nothing new to him, I’m personally not sold on Joshua, for me it is only a matter of time before he comes a cropper, he’s lucky in many ways the era that he is in with the other heavyweights about, fury beats him easily and I’ve always said it, for me Joshua is a modern Frank Bruno, just my opinion not saying I’m right but it’s just what I think

I agree with everything you say about Joshua's limitations. You won't get many here who will entertain that line of thinking though.

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen tomorrow. I was really disappointed that Ruiz came in heavier than his last fight.

I respect your opinion, and the effort in portraying it
One glaring omission in the breakdown of Ruiz- he is fairly easy to hit.
Combine that with AJ's reach and thudding jab, and it seems inevitable what the outcome will be: the old hard double jab, followed by the second most powerful straight right hand in the division.
How many if those can Ruiz take?
I feel a bit concerned about him actually...

Let’s see tomorrow. I agree that Ruiz has fast hands but he fights very square on - that makes him pretty easy to hit, hence my comment on immobility.

Also it goes to show the state of heavyweight boxing these days when you are allowing a fat slob to fight for the world title.

If Ruiz wins I think this will be the biggest shock in boxing since Tyson v Douglas.

Personally I think this will be over inside 2 rounds. I think Ruiz will taste one of AJ's big punches and will fall really easy. I think this fight is going to be an anticlimax Ruiz is going to fall too easy knowing he has got a few quid out of this and 2 hours later you will see him sat in McD's eating several Big Mac's with a huge grin on his face.

I can see Ruiz getting under AJs long reach and doing some damage with his fast hands. But what on earth is he doing at 265 pounds?

Has Ruiz really got quick feet?! He's always had quick hands for a fat heavyweight but I've never really noticed him having particularly quick feet.

I don't think he offers much of a challenge up to AJ to be honest. No real power, quite hittable and just too small overall.

Miller would have provided a sterner test imo, but that's also probably because he was juiced up all along.

Just rewatching Parker/Ruiz. Ruiz is much better schooled than I remembered. He also throws nice, surprisingly fast combinations, with some clout! I don't think it's in Ruiz's nature to show up to lose. On reflection I wouldn't be surprised if he makes some interesting things happen tonight.

Does Joshua take a punch as well as Parker? Ruiz did seem to ring his bell a couple of times.
