I think Vargas is a competent fighter but he doesn't deserved to be listed among the best of the best and was lucky to be afforded such a lucrative DAZN contract. There seems to be some Jesse Vargas myth.

Fighting with Fundora at that size is like having to deal with a guy having two whips in his hands.

Fundora is a beast but horrendous stoppage! Opponent wasn't even in trouble or hurt. Maybe he was doing his own version of the rope a dope & got robbed of fighting his fight

40 - 36 Errol after the 4th. He is as sharp as ever, dictating the pace with jabs and landing some heavy shots.

Spence returned in shape. Credit to him for coming back after all that mess.
The fight was competetive, with a high display of skills and technique from both sides. It was tactical, clean and interesting to watch. Spence clearly outboxed Garcia.
The scorecards are good this time. I had it 116-112 for Spence.
Garcia is a top 10 fighter in the division, but he's a bottom of the elite level, that's has been proved yet again.
And, of course, Crawford-Spence, make it now, you motherf*ckers!
Crawford will win, btw.

i wont predict a winner...in fact, im probably the only one hoping spence moves up to 154 and he and crawford never fight. but i gotta say, if they did, i would have to go for spence...that jab is hellacious.

Horrible commentating also & bullshit grooming for Spence.
Spence did very well & looked good the opening rounds with movement, but essentially didn't have to do too much thinking or work.
You'd have sparring sessions with more action than this 1 paced bout with no flow or drama. Like they want to finish each round without taking risks, but also do enough to not lose the crowd. Then go for it in the final 10 seconds of the fight.
Spence looked mentally fatigued & had some pretty ordinary balance from rounds 4-5 onwards. Thankfully Danny gave Spence too much respect & never pushed the action for more than 3 seconds or punches at a time.
Errol looked excellent (considering his situation) but in terms of competition around him, his in big trouble the moment someone makes him work. No way Spence beats Porter in a rematch looking like this.

I’m pretty sure I’ve made separate posts calling both Crawford and Spence overrated, so I’m not sure how to pick that fight. Not happening until Crawford splits with TR.
I’m also on-board for Spence at 154. Talented, competitive division there.

Crawford would dissect the slower, less talented Spence until the ref or corner stops it. I could see Spence looking like a punching bag..like what De La Hoya was to smaller Pacqiuao

Even post crash Spence was too fast and skilled for flat footed counter puncher Garcia.
I'd love to see Spence vs Crawford, but I don't think it would be an exciting fight. They are both so technically sound and skilled that they would just cancel each other out. The rounds would be close and just decided by the odd punch landed.
Where's EO today? Hasn't he usually quoted his pre-fight prediction 5 times by now? What gives?

I haven’t seen the fight in it’s entirety. So I haven’t got anything meaningful to say.
I successfully predicted a victory for Spence Jr, but by all accounts it was more of a one-sided contest than I expected it to be.
So I right about the outcome, but probably wrong about the competitiveness.
Vbet rated Spence Jr. as having an 84.2% (3/16) chance of victory, which reflected most betting websites.
So there’s no point in me boasting about successfully predicting the outcome of a fight that most betting websites considered a mismatch.
On a related note, if you’re missing my gloating, people aggressively attacked me for my opinion about Anthony Yarde.
And I was proven right last night when he was defeated by a domestic level fighter.

What I got out of the fight last night is Spence's skills are still intact. What I also noticed is Spence didn't seem as strong or physical. He just didn't look like he carried the same strength and physicality. That version of Spence probably loses to Porter.

Garcia should be at 140. I think fighting at 147 is wasting his potential.. reminds me of Judah, who probably should've been a 135er... but for some reason, picked 140 and 147.

I guess... but longevity at/near the top ultimately may be greater at 140 by piling up wins and belts.. and legacy should mean a little bit... In the end, may be the better plan unless there are super fights to be made.

I’m not sure Danny would fair any better if he was still cutting down to 140. Don’t think he could beat Josh Taylor to be at the top of the division. Prograis is an interesting fight. He would probably KO Zepeda. Not sure about Ram.
