Even at this price they’re banking on Joyce being tough, if there were David price-like rumours about his chin it would be even shorter imo.

Having said that I’m still tempted to have a bit on DD points. Dubois barely put a dent in Kevin Johnson and if Joyce does have a cinderblock head it could make DD more cautious, slow the pace of the fight down and make it a damp squib of a spectacle

On the other hand Joyce will be getting hit a lot more than kevin Johnson as he’ll be trying to win

This is a fair call actually. Stands to reason that Joyce might just be that slow, Dubois manages to tee off on him enough that he fails to get off his shots and the ref jumps in

Any specific examples when Joyce was hurt in a amateur fight? I can only recall him getting tagged and looking disorganised but never really bothered by punches that much. I wonder if the DD plan will be to get on his bike.

The Bryant Jennings fight was close and you could argue that Jennings as a pure boxer should have been more active as he did have some success. Will Dubois pot shot his way to a decision? Or might he be lulled into a false sense of security after hitting Joyce at will, and then get tired?

I’m thinking this could look more competitive than I expected just due to Joyce’s ruggedness. Also, while impressive offensively DD hardly looks like a master boxer in there with his lack of head movement and somewhat robotic ring generalship, so he won’t be hard to find if Joyce can take him into the trenches. I can easily see it becoming a war of attrition.

Very early on. Second round or something like that. he has his elbow down covering it for a while so it must have hurt.

I'm going. I thought I'd stick by my guns so I popped a tenner on Joyce to win at 2/1.

I also stuck a cheeky fiver on Fury to win by stoppage and another fiver to stop Wilder in the 10th.

Wow! I just stumbled upon this news. Looks like a great between British unbeaten heavies, but I would rather see them duke it out after they both fought a few more tough opponents. Or wait to fight each other once one of them gained a significant title.

I'm torn on this match-up. I'd have to go with Dubois, I'm not sure if the course of this fight will turn into a brawl-fest, or a chess-match. If Dubois chooses to try and go toe to toe with the slightly larger Joyce early on, he might be in for a long grueling fight.

I'll pick Dubois if Dubois chooses to fight more of a cautious, measured fight, trying to outbox Joyce throughout the fight.

If this turns into more of a slugfest, then I'd lean slightly more towards Joyce getting a late round TKO. I'm not sure Dubois has had tough enough fights yet, so early in his career. Joe to me just looks like one tough hombre that might be very difficult for anyone to knock out.

Na. It won’t be long til he’s on 3 fights a year and then eventually 2.. I think he should still stick at 4-5 fights a year for now. Build his record and experience. He’s still very young.

Yeah there's no point rushing him but if he beats Joyce he's gonna be pretty hard to match. Even euro level at heavy isn't all that.
