Carl Froch claims he would’ve beaten both Canelo and Golovkin.
“Too big, too strong,” said Froch on his Boxing Podcast about Saul Canelo Alvarez. “Jokes aside, when I watched Canelo fight Kovalev, I wasn’t impressed.
“I thought it was close, but I thought he [Canelo] was losing. At that weight [175], he’s slower. He reminded me of Arthur Abraham when I fought Abraham [in November 2011].
“I just kept him long with a jab, met him with combinations, and absolutely hammered him for 12 rounds. It was a flawless victory. I feel like I would have been able to do that to Canelo when he fought Canelo, that version of Canelo,” said Froch.
Froch went on to say that his jab alone would’ve beaten GGG.
“I’d have been too much for him,” said Froch about Gennadiy Golovkin. “I met him and he’s 5’9” or 5′ 10″. When I meet someone and shaking their hand, and looking in their eyes, I might be wrong, but me as a fighter and the warrior I was when I was fighting, I was shaping and sizing him up, thinking, ‘If I ever fight you, no problem, end of the jab, walk you into some shots, I’d be too much for you.’
“He [Golovkin] went 11 rounds with Martin Murray. At that sort of level, you’re not going to give me a problem,” said Froch.

I reckon Froch v Golovkin would have resembled Trinidad v Joppy. I remember quite a few pundits giving Joppy an edge going into that fight.

When Froch was active, and looking for a last big fight (which never came) he said he would "avoid Golovkin like the plague."

It was actually Kerry Davis from HBO who said all those guys were pricing themselves out.

Eubank didn't need Jones in his life, he was the star and transcending the game with the £10M in one year deal. He didn't really care about trying to become some lb4lb great in the US.
Benn probably would've fought him but was tied to Don King, though admits he probably wouldn't of stood much chance with Jones after the McClellan war took everything out of him. I think Jones could've stopped the post-McClellan Nigel any time he chose, maybe even before the end of the first. Though Benn could punch, outrageously, even when off-balance or out on his feet; so who knows!
Collins, deluded, was convinced he'd beat Jones and claimed Jones was scared. Obviously Steve was nowhere near the star (or threat, for that matter) Eubank or Benn were so had no place demanding millions.
The real guy who should've fought Jones was little-known Frank Liles, who definitely priced himself out. I'd like to of seen Jones fight Nunn in 95, but then why mess with a tall slippery southpaw with output and experience when you're trying to look good out there.... Charles Brewer he maybe could've fought in like 98?

Most of all, Kovalev lost Canelo fight because he fought only one month and nine days after the hard Yarde bout.
