Whilst Khan doesnt recover from his knockdowns - he has taken good punches and not gone down at other times.Garcia's excellent recovery was nothing at all like Amir Khan
My point was Garcia`s chin will let him down in his biggest tests.

Aside from the Limond & Gomez very early fights; i can't think of him recovering to win from a knock down??
Yes. A really dominate round can be 10-8.THESURESHOT wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 13:39 I think I’ve seen it done before but is it possible to have a 10-8 round without a knockdown? If the round is so extremely dominated by one fighter can a judge score it a 10-8 round? Ryan in the 6th was overwhelmingly dominating him.
Yes it's happened, all 3 judges in Khan-Maidana had Maidana winning I think the 9th 10-8 without a kdTHESURESHOT wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 13:39 I think I’ve seen it done before but is it possible to have a 10-8 round without a knockdown? Don't think any round of this fight justified it though
Almost certain it was the 10th x2.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 13:55 nah , it was like the 9th or 10th im pretty sure, though maidana also had a good 12th
ya, could better capture the difference between close rounds and big rounds, ,rather than pretty much everything being 10-9 unless you drop the guy or batter himskanksta wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 14:47Almost certain it was the 10th x2.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 13:55 nah , it was like the 9th or 10th im pretty sure, though maidana also had a good 12th
They should be encouraged to give MORE 10-10s and MORE 10-8s.
Not like confetti, but...
1) try and give a winner and if you can't 10-10.
2) If one guy clearly wins all of a round with style or damage - give him a 10-8.
It was the 10th. Had Khan on the brink of annihilation the whole round.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 14:48ya, could better capture the difference between close rounds and big rounds, ,rather than pretty much everything being 10-9 unless you drop the guy or batter himskanksta wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 14:47Almost certain it was the 10th x2.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 13:55 nah , it was like the 9th or 10th im pretty sure, though maidana also had a good 12th

That’s a serious damp towel on the red hot weekend that was Garcia vs Campbell.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Jan 2021, 06:03 “We could see that possibly happen, when we’re ready, when Ryan is ready, and obviously Ryan is ready to face anybody, that’s never a doubt, but it’s going to be on our terms, on the terms of Ryan Garcia,” Golden Boy Promotions promoter Oscar De La Hoya said to Fighthub when asked if Ryan will be fighting Haney.
“When he’s ready, when he wants to. Every champion out there needs Ryan Garcia, it’s not the other way around.”

ODLH has made it very clear Ryan Garcia isn't fighting any top Lightweight, anytime soon.
He probably thought, Garcia isn't a big enough star yet for the scorecardsmto favour him heavily..Thomastearns wrote: ↑06 Jan 2021, 08:24 “To me to win, I would have had to knock him out to win,” the 33-year-old Campbell told IFL TV shortly after arriving back home in England. “I thought it would be more fair on the scorecards, the scorecards, what I got told, were stupid, because for me it was a very competitive fight. Nothing much in the fight between us both by that point, but what some of those scorecards I was reading were so biased.”
Welcome to the world of big time big money boxing Luke.
You're right only a knockout would have done. Anything else would be a defeat or a draw at best.
Ask GGG how it works. He's had to find out the hard way too. Many others too.
Did it not occur to you to ask just why you were being given less than 25% chance going in?
Good performance though, you gave the kid a much needed lesson there.
