Re: Danny Williams retires

Danny claims this was his retirement fight. Let’s see if he pops up again. For anyone desperate for some high quality fight action, this is not it…
Not unless they are lecturers
Its in a bloidy gymnasium. What did he get for that fight, 50 quid and a fish supper?
He looks in great shape but he can barely stand up. It’s a shame that he is still doing this, I’d really like to know the reason why (it’s not money).jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑07 Jul 2023, 02:55Its in a bloidy gymnasium. What did he get for that fight, 50 quid and a fish supper?
He looks really skinny there.
Please god, call it a day.
I actually think he looks quite bad, he seems to have lost a huge amount of muscle mass.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 10:10He looks in great shape but he can barely stand up. The organisers here couldn’t even be bothered to take the punch bags down. I remember seeing a video of Robert Stieglitz fighting in a floor mounted ring with a couple of people leaning against the wall in what looks like a small gym on a high street literally one fight after boxing Abraham in an arena for the WBO World Championship
This thread was started in September 2020 when Danny announced his ‘retirement’ (which certainly wasn’t the first time even then). I really do hope he finally means it now.
I know
He is much slimmer than ever before but his figure looks goodjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 10:58I actually think he looks quite bad, he seems to have lost a huge amount of muscle mass.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 10:10He looks in great shape but he can barely stand up. Clearly his balance is gone, and has been for some time - neurological damage, or maybe damage to his inner ear, which is not unheard of.
Another thing - how fcking big is that ref - he makes Danny and the other bloke look like middleweights!
Danny is 6 foot 3 from memory, he must be 6 foot 7 or more than ref,
Ah right, no it was the camera angle it's filmed from.
I guess at his age he's lost a lot of muscle mass, but it does look quite drastic, Danny was always a big man.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑15 Jul 2023, 08:23He is much slimmer than ever before but his figure looks goodjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 10:58I actually think he looks quite bad, he seems to have lost a huge amount of muscle mass.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 10:10

Indeed, anyone booking or boxing him now is taking advantage in a very dreadful way and nothing good is coming from any contest.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑15 Jul 2023, 08:35I guess at his age he's lost a lot of muscle mass, but it does look quite drastic, Danny was always a big man.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑15 Jul 2023, 08:23He is much slimmer than ever before but his figure looks goodjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 10:58

Anyway, he really really needs to jack it in, I'm sure quite a lot of damage has already been done, but if he ships any more punishment at this stage, his deterioration will accelerate rapidly.
That first knock down it looked like the guy went down on purpose. Then Williams hurt him bad for making it look like crap.
The chap also beat the opponent Williams beat last time outFloydendizer wrote: ↑25 Aug 2023, 15:40 The journey continues tomorrow in Estonia, Danny boxing a guy 8 - 0 with 8 by stoppage, who gives a license at 50 years old ???
How much can he be getting paid for these fights though? Surely be better getting a job in london.
Boxings probably all he knows. Does he had sponsors?Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 03:17How much can he be getting paid for these fights though? Surely be better getting a job in london.
But you can make 5-600 a week just as a security guard in a shop or office block, without getting hurt, surly that would be a better optionRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 03:48Boxings probably all he knows.
