Yeah. If the man does suffer from a condition then it's probably best not to get in to it with him.
The only thing I would say (knowing that he's reading this) is that I hope he is regularly taking the medication that he needs and I mean that sincerely... There's no shame getting a bit of help when the head is not too clear.
