Fisher kept showing a massive preference for moving to his left, but rather than cutting across with lead rights, Ebguema just moved around like an old man watching tumbleweed blow past his porch. I wouldn't say it was quite townhall level, but not far above. Fight of the Night at the sports centre.
But hey, maybe he'll improve rapidly. If you're big and strong, you can go a fair way in today's heavyweight scene with a chin and a heart, should he have both. He needs to stop throwing those wild haymakers and get busier with his left, both in terms of volume and variety, with straight rights added. Benefit of the doubt, tons of fighters want that hometown knockout early in their careers.

When one if you guys was saying poppa Fisher was "a unit" I've not heard that before. But after seeing him tonight for the first time - does "a unit" mean a Sherman tank with a human head duct taped to the top of it?

Whilst it was his ‘best’ opponent last night I think Fisher looked worse than he had in his fight before. He seemed incapable of throwing his right hand straight and I think he understandably was nervous and was trying too hard to get a highlight reel KO.
I think they should be looking to get him out every 6/7 weeks and box him around that country and throw in a trip abroad too. Have him fight in London every 3/4 months so to not completely rinse the incredible support he’s got.

You’re right - he doesn’t have that muscle memory but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen him throw the straight right in other fights and that was the shot that would have caused more problems last night I think.
They should keep him busy, take a little bit of pressure off him and keep sparring various different styles.

He's doing okay, lots to learn. His opponent was a decent fighter to get in with at this stage and he will have learned a lot.
Accuracy and timing need a lot of work.

Let's be honest here, he's going nowhere.
Arm punches and dodgy defence. Those followers will get bored soon so he'll be moved too fast and will get stopped by the first puncher he meets
Probably make a decent few quid on the way mind

John was ABA champ and a very decent operator. He beat Fury. Johnny won't get close to his level of ability.

Bad showing for him last night. After not getting the initial knockout he ran out of ideas and more worrying his defence went to shit. Arm punches galore, chin up, lack of timing. He’s a bad knockout waiting to happen unless he goes back to the drawing board.
Tibbs is his trainer? Not like he’s not got experience around him.
Ciaren Healy for the area belt should be next… no point going back to rhe 3-13-3 type opponents.
Someone called him the white Olabawimo… could be a shout tbh.

he's young, inexpeericnced, has a great team..........so potential for a lot of growth
but i've always wondered wtf ppl were going on about when acting like he was already impressive

It was drab, but there were some positives. Fisher will realise he can't bang them all out with an overhand right. The other guy went the distance with Rivas remember and is allegedly the Muhammad Ali of Spain
. But being serious, his trainers if they're any good should be able to drill some good lessons in him, like work for the openings and throw the right a bit lower and straighter sometimes..... rather than telegraph it. He still looks very strong, is not slow and definitely carries some power. It might be one of those real learning type fights.
I mean you could argue if Fisher lived in Marbella he'd be the champion of Spain.

Yeah. But he’s gained weight, gained some boobs and he beat the guy who Fisher last fought before Spain’s best heavyweight of all time. Plus it’s for some kind of belt… surely a good move and his fans will love.., “and the new”…

Three things for me:
1, He moves well for a tall big fella, they can be uncoordinated.
2, Natural speed in his hands and legs.
3, The dedication to train properly and not turn up carrying fat like a lot of blokes his size try and get away with.
Those are three good points to begin with. He also seems to be able to take a shot, but I will reserve that judgement until someone clobbers him in the ring and not sparring. But feedback from his sparring partners is that he can take a shot, and he does have an engine.
For a guy with so few fights, I'm giving him a year, maybe two, before I think there is more to his career outside of the UK. Other that that - I like him, and bums on seats is good for boxing, what isnt there to like about that?

sparring for proving chin? no!
coordinated? he looks rather clumsy and awkward to me!
ppl who rate him mostly just seem to like him/his dad as characters. he's a fun fighter to follow but dont see a whole lot right now tbh.

Like I said, I'll wait to judge his chin in a proper fight. But when you get guys like Joyce saying he clobbered Fisher and Fisher held up- maybe that's worth something?
And fighting the Spanish #1 of #3 all time great, shades of Ali in Fisher's 5th fight, well that's pretty good
