Good fight, not great. Liam needed a little more but he didn't have that extra gear. Amazing, tough performance but that's not enough.

Williams was shite too. A plodder. A wrestler. A grappler. Certainly not a boxer.
winning a few rounds and hurting an undefeated world champ who is notoriously hard to hit.. even though andrade was hanging on or out of range... sounds like he is probably a boxer. you want him to try box slick back foot stuff against andrade? that wouldent make him a boxer, that would make him an idiot.

I had it 10-2 Andrade, plus the knockdown, very wide but doesn’t reflect some of the competitive middle section.

I don’t have any arguments with the result, I do think Williams showed plenty of guts and should be proud of his effort.
Andrade doesn’t impress me, he does some very good stuff but he switches off too often. He won’t be able to do that against better opposition.

Had it 117-110. After those first few rounds Williams did well to make a fight of it.

In Williams' head, Andrade was moving away under fire all the time, so he felt he had to keep closing to avoid exposing himself to counters.

And I agree with him: had he started holding his feet for follow-ups, Andrade would've adjusted and countered. But by showing no variety, it was easy for Andrade to just wait for him to close for the clinch every time.

He needed a higher ring IQ to mix it up and keep Andrade guessing.

Williams was tough as we knew, but that was about it.
Different class/level.

Williams fights on hating his opponent and that almost cost him early on by rushing in full of fire.

Tough tough man though; those Rhondda valleys typically breed them that way.

117-110 Andrade, your typical Demetrius Andrade fight looks a million dollars early tattooing Williams with the jab and left hand, drops him in the 2nd with a lovely 1/2, Williams was hurt bad, lucky for him it was end of round, tbf the few other times later in the fight when Williams got visably hurt it was right at the end of the round and he was able to hold to the bell

Truth was Williams was outclassed, showed a lot of heart and stood up to countless monster uppercuts and kept coming forward, really though he landed 2 meaningful punches all night, the right hands in the 3rd and 9th, Andrade was as equally hurt from they shots as Williams but American comms never really picked it up, Andrade was shook and had to survive

Andrade is quality when in the groove though, really sharp puncher, sat down on his shots tonight for the majority and showed he was levels above Williams who could never pin him down, i know Williams was dirty with the head but Andrade's holding was pissing me off, not the ref though it seemed, too many spells of just running as well from Andrade, all in all though he was pretty good in all fairness
