I'd like to see Sanchez fight Ortiz next.
Out with the old, in with the new. I hope unlike Ortiz, Sanchez doesn't have to wait until he's nearly 40 to receive a title shot.
What do you mean when you complain about Louis Ortiz “waiting”?
A fighter has to earn their shot. And Ortiz received two opportunities without even earning them.

Ortiz was avoided until he got old. Most fighters retire by the age he had his first title fight.
Hopefully the same won't happen to the promising up-and-coming heavyweights like Sanchez, Anderson and Jalolov.

ortiz was born old
he was also caught for 2 fights on peds and had setbacks because of that. and he kept bouncing between promoters and making dumb decisions
and he only beats bums for years now
and also caught lying when he was offered a big fight and huge payday, but rejected it. even his own team admitted it. ortiz's biggest fans are wilder fanbois funny enough.
he's really to blame

The list of Cuban amateur accomplishments at heavyweight is very impressive. Luis Ortiz's contribution to that as a younger man is negligible.
He had a decent win over Tony Thompson and a devastating knock out over Bryant Jennings and he's been living off that ever since. Other than that his claim to fame is he ran out of puff and got stopped by Wilder, twice but boxed his ears off right up until the knockout ... just like Artur Szpilka. Nobody waxes lyrical about Artur.

good fighter but was never some monster and is a proven liar and 2x drug cheat (which i mention because its funny how his fanbois get after other drug userS). the hardcore wilder fans love him though!
hasnt won a meaningful fight in years now

He'll one day be the only nursing-home resident to hold a current top ten ranking with the WBC.
(and his only notable win will still be Bryant Jennings twenty years earlier

Ortiz was never avoided.
No one can cite any names of fighters that refused to face Ortiz.
However, Ortiz did duck Joshua, Whyte, Joyce, Wallin and Ustinov though.
And Ortiz didn't beat any notable names to earn both of his title shots either.
The guy was a manufactured media hype job.
His team waited for offers to be received from Ortiz's rivals, rather than submitting their own offers to marquee world-rated heavyweights.

"i fight aj any time, any place, any money! "
gets huge offer to fight aj
"uh, well, umm, uh, er, its' a low ball! i king kong! they all duck me!"
meanwhile his own team shake their head and admit what a stupid thing it was not to take it. yet some people still take whatever he says as 100 percent absolute truth
