The only bad thing was that awful MC. What a knob end he is. Everything MC now is trying to be the next Michael Buffer trying to find an angle that will inspire the crowd. What a cock he is!
A proper weapon. His trademark phrase gets ignored and is awful - let’s get wild or something
Looks like vanilla ice meets max headroom
Lol yes he does.
If you look at his twatter I think he’s trademarked his professional ‘name…. Bellend

The winner of Kevin Lerena vs Ryad Merhy (on 13 may).
Yeah Lerena will probably like Bridgerweight won’t he. And the Belgian looks pretty good on paper as an ex WBA cruiserweight champ.

Surely either of them will make childsplay out of Rozanski. Lerena will also have a bit of promotional clout behind him as well meaning he might force Rozanski over to Seth Efrica bruhhh.

I think adding it into the Boxrec database meant a massive amount of additional work / recoding that they couldn't be bothered with. Probably due to expecting the division to quietly disappear.

Even worse with some MCs now, it seems they want to be influencers and/or Tik Tok stars. I don't get why so many seem to think that calling the result of a boxing match makes you some kind of celebrity. Nobody pays their ticket money to see the MC.

Considering only the WBC recognize this particular weight class it's not warranted to recognize the weight class. These are technically heavyweight fights, period.

It seems very desperate to me. Surely this MC cannot think he's good at what he does?

The last stupid phrase I heard was an MC say at the start of fight ' let's start some hell at the sound of the bell' what the FF was that about?

I preferred the old style MC's like Mike Goodall and Mike Shinfield, announce the fight and the fighters and keep it to that. I remember a fight when it all kicked off at ringside and Goodall was bellowing at the crowd to behave but can't remember who was fighting ?
They all seem to be trying to be poor imitations of Buffer now with catchphrases and trying to make it about them instead of realising their place in the scheme of things.

I agree, catchphrase are just gimmicks and are getting old. "Let's get ready to rumble" should be seen as a one off rather than a template model to copy. I like David Diamante but I find it a bit tedious when he says "The fight starts now". Boxing is just lucky that it doesn't have Bruce Buffer...

I quite like Thomas Treiber.

I can't quite pinpoint that fight where Goodall was bellowing at the crowd either. I think that may have been when Herbie Hide attended an Audley fight and there was some pandemonium in the crowd?

He was definitely at that one. I remember him shouting ‘order order. Order in court. Your winner Audley Harrison wants to say a few words.’

As if a bunch of pissed up Londoners were gonna suddenly descend into perfect silence at hearing ‘order in court.’

You might be thinking of a Robert McCracken fight in Birmingham tho? I think Nigel Benn might have headliner that card and there were Birmingham fans rucking with some rival mob. I’m sure it was Goodhall on the mic and they had to get one of the McCracken lads on the mic. Again as if it was going to stop anything.

It was an MTK card at the Brentwood when it kicked off. Can’t for the life of me remember who was fighting
