That’s enough of the “big lips” David.

That's kind of racist (and stupid). Try to control yourself.

Some people are too stupid to realize how stupid they are. I'm guessing you are at least smart enough to know you are racist.

Indeed the fight was close. Loma fought a good fight but also Haney was landing cleaner eye catching shots.

To beat a champion like Haney in his hometown of Vegas, you'd need to whoop his arse like Bivol did with Canelo or a T/KO.

moretti giving haney the tenth is objectively absolutely inexplicable but wouldn't have changed his card in favor of haney.

that round was clearly lomachenko's without any question.

the scoring of the judges was otherwise reasonable.

i really wasn't surprised the least when haney got his hand raised.

the first 9 rounds one could score with one or even 2 rounds up for either fighter depending on what style u prefer. the 3 stooges obviously all 'prefered' haney's and had him up.

round 10 and 11 to loma clearly.

would have lomachenko won the 12th last round on cheatham's and weisfeld's cards that fight would've been a majority draw.

i didn't see a decisive lomachenko win.

all this doesn't change the fact that all of those three judges on a multitude of occasions have proven to be 100 percent corrupt pieces of shite.

all three should be banned for life as judges or any other official role in boxing. they shouldn't be allowed to come closer than half a mile to any boxing ring ever again.

I watched this bout from the 4th round onwards. It was posted early this morning on a YouTube channel.
After 4 rounds, the one commentator had it 39-37 for Haney, and eventually he had Loma up relatively decisively.
He had Loma winning by 115-113(2 points). He had Loma winning the last round though, which I disagreed with.
After the 11th, he had it 105-104 Loma. I agree with the Tally/verdict/personal judging/observation, at that point.
However, Haney Did take that last round imo, so therefore, a 114-114 draw, that would've been the most proper decision imo.
A rematch would've been certainly made then..?, unless Haney would still be set on moving up to 140.

I think that Haney would've been Quite Content and still Glad and Thankful, had it been ruled a majority Draw.
He'd still be undefeated, and still the Lightweight Champ.
Loma probably would've been disappointed still, but not as much disappointed.
Loma's Dad would still be disappointed, but again, a lesser level of disappointment.
Haney was/is going to 140, regardless of what the decision would've been.

With that said, the Winner of Taylor-Lopez Will hopefully Soon be amongst Haney's next opponents.
I think that Haney will want to fight Ryan Garcia, at 140, firstly and foremost, as his 140(JrWW) intro-bout though.
There is also Prograis and Catteral to seriously consider as well.
I would favor Haney over both of them guys. They'd both be pretty tough though. I could see Prograis giving Haney serious fits early on, but Haney with his jab, and the lightning quick belly bops, and his great clinching abilities, would very likely ultimately prevail. Haney vs Taylor is a solid 50-50 bout, based on the styles correlation. I'd favor Haney pretty solidly over Teofimo Lopez, but then again, Teo Could pull off a shocking devastating Ko. I could see that happening if Haney got too careless or reckless.

AngryGoon38: I think you're on the money with your analysis of Haney at 140 . But, I doubt Ryan Garcia will want any part of him-easy work for Haney. Right now, I have Prograis as the best in the division.
As for Loma-small as he is, I think he beats Rolly Romero at 140.

i'm 100 percent not racist whatsoever but must admit that i got some slight homophobic tendencies with no malignant intent though that i probably won't be able to get rid off ever.

sure that's a different issue than being racist.

haney definitely got big ass lips. huuuge pair of thick lips surrounding a quite big mouth. especially horizontally.

I'd love to agree with you because I'm a huge Reggie fan, but in all honesty I think he has peaked at 34 unfortunately. Still an excellent fighter, still a fearsome body puncher. Still at the top of the heap IMO, for now.

Teddy Atlas Wants Judge Moretti To Appear Before NSAC To Explain Haney-Loma Scoring

Trainer and boxing analyst Teddy Atlas is fuming over one of the scorecards for Saturday's fight between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko.

At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Haney retained his undisputed lightweight crown with a twelve round unanimous decision over Lomachenko.

The judges scored it 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113.

According to most observers, Lomachenko had done enough to pull out a win.

Judge Dave Moretti handed in the 116-112 scorecard - handing Haney a win by an eight round tally. Most felt the contest, at worst, was a 7-5 fight in either direction or a straight draw.

Adding to the controversy, Moretti scored the tenth round for Haney - a round that was widely viewed as one of the best rounds of the fight for Lomachenko. In that round, Lomachenko landed 11 of 49 punches while Haney only connected with 5 punches out of 25.

Atlas wants Moretti to appear before the Nevada State Athletic Commission to explain why he scored the tenth round for Haney.

“I can live with the two scores I guess, but not the 116-112. Someone told me that Dave Moretti gave 10th round to Haney, if that’s true he should be brought in front of commission to explain," Atlas stated.

“If Nevada Commission doesn’t call Moretti in and make him explain giving 10th to Haney, then we should start petition to disband them. I need to see if it’s taxpayers money that runs Nevada commission, if so then citizens really need to stand up."

Haney and his handlers have made it clear that there won't be a rematch for Lomachenko.

I had it 114-114. Moretti needs to give it away. I can live with 115-113 to Haney, but what a cracking fight. Thanks to both.
