Was very pleased for DD on Sat night. Passed a gut check mid rounds before marching on.

Good win for Dubois boxing competently and grinding down Miller for the (very) late stoppage.

As the good as the win is for DDD, I wouldn't go overboard about it...Miller is a zillion miles away from the boxer Usyk is and not the fighter that Joyce is. He was never going to be good enough to take Dubois to the depths that me him crack...so don't think that DDD has cleansed his soul yet !

Not completly but making steps , really am unsure on DD has oppose dto other boxers around , the one really big fundamental flaw with DD is lack of boxing nounce , his boxing IQ really does leave a lot to be desired , he just can't seem to figure anthing out himself , and its very important to be able to read whats happenning , your corner having to do that for you all the time , can be a great disadvantage

Dub needs a better jab, less wild spurting, more accuracy. Struggled too much with the Blob.

I agree coneye...a big part of that problem for Dubois was because he was accelerated into two very demanding fights while learning little from too many knock over jobs.

When Millers walk forward pressure style had some success he exhausted himself by throwing punches!
Good job by DDD and it will give him confidence, which is huge, but he wasn't swimming in the deep end

I thought he was, he was vs 23stone unbeaten fella with a strong chin, was a good tide to turn.

Miller is too fat. His chin is good, but he's a blob, whom it's pretty easy to outbox and to exhaust.

Just watched it.

Ridiculous chin on Miller. Those punches at the end, Dubois was swinging everything and Millers neck is too fat to allow him to move his head with the punches.
I worry about Miller. Just because he doesn't go down, it doesn't mean his brain isn't getting bumped about.

Good confidence builder for Dubois. I thought he'd lose after wilting in the later rounds.

Dubois put in a solid shift :salut: His movement was good, but if he'd also used his jab more effectively and really got the shoulder behind it I think he could have scored even more convincing stoppage. Miller's walk forward style is tailored to eat a ram rod jab.

Should: Bakole, Kabayel, Wardley, Sanchez, Hunter

Who he actually faces next will depend if he's on the next Saudi card, which I suspect he will be. Frank should be looking at Kabayel for the European belt if Dubois is ambitious. Wardley for the British or Commonwealth is also a good option. Bakole is a tough fight but a win would put him inside the top 10. Sanchez is a big gamble but he is a credible opponent. Hunter is probably there for the taking because it doesn't look like he's been taking boxing seriously for a while now.

If he's not on the next Saudi card the best we can hope for is Lenier Pero or Alexis Barriere. Pulev or Chisora would be wise options to take off a declining veteran with respectable name value.

Biggest name that Dubois could go for is Wilder if Joshua faces Hrgovic.

Love this. Chisora be a good name and likely as Chisora in with Saudis. Kabayel be a proper proper test.

Dubois should challenge for the European title and then defend it 2 or 3 times over 12/18 months. Following the Miller win the EBU route I mention 'could' see DDD develop into a genuine top ten heavyweight.

Kabayel and Dubois were the two that surprised me most on the night. Kabayel looked very impressive against an intimidating opponent and fought a way different fight to the one we all expected. Dubois won a grueling fight against an opponent that looked huge. I thought Dubois looked spent in the middle rounds and thought he might be thinking about a way out but he toughed it out and got the finish.

Not sure I could pick a winner based on what I saw last week.

Yeah, Kabayel deserves a special mention for his outstanding win

I'm pleased to say I had few doubts DDD would beat Miller, but I didn't see Kabayel's victory coming at all

DDD v Kabayel is a red hot matchup IMO.

I'd still prefer DDD to start with something less demanding, but in a couple more decent fights... :box:

Miller is a big old lump but I wonder how much are on his punches as they are all arms. No doubt there's some power there purely due to size but I do wonder if Dubois would have wilted again if there was more behind them.

He has certainly made himself an attraction for Saudi cards after that win, so good on him. And as Parker has shown, keeping busy and winning can get you right back into contention, the way it should be. UFC style.

Miller has always been a bit of an arm puncher, similar to Joyce, but Miller got around that with having a very high output, again similar to Joyce. The problem for him now is his output has halved since he came off the secret sauce. Dubois basically outworked him. Which in itself was impressive, I really was getting a bit worried for Dubois in the way that he kept pushing that lump off him in the clinch. Dubois showed incredible stamina

if nothing else he does strongly demonstrate how much PEDS benefit the fighter.
