Re: Fury retires........yawn
John spoke a lot of sense in that interview the other day.
Re: Fury retires........yawn
One of my very close relatives sees Tyson on a regular basis through children doing activities together. They aren't friends or anything but say that Tyson is always friendly and polite but not overly chatty, keeps himself to himself as much as he can and doesn't give it the big un. Can't say fairer than that. Must be difficult being so well known.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑11 May 2025, 17:10I do too, I think amidst all the nonsense he says he is indeed a decent person, very human and flawed.rd350lc wrote: ↑11 May 2025, 16:56I'm not surprised, under all the bluster I think he's a good guy .mickey1975 wrote: ↑11 May 2025, 16:41 Fury was at the national schoolboys finals in Newcastle today where apparently he was brilliant with all the kids.

I think Jimmy that is a very good platform to evaluate someone on a human level, away from all the cameras and press stuff. Thanks for sharing that.Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑11 May 2025, 17:22One of my very close relatives sees Tyson on a regular basis through children doing activities together. Joe Laws said that at the same event Daniel Dubois wouldn't sign anything and was behind a barrier the whole time.

What would Usyk gain from a 3rd fight? As for Fury, surely an AJ would make more money and he could win that one, I'd make him favourite.

I hope Fury stays retired and I wish Uysk, Wilder and AJ would retire as well.
Financially, they have had Stella careers, and should relax and enjoy the fruits of their labours and keep their health.
I remember seeing an interview with Ali once, where he was asked to reflect on his career. He replied, ' what I learnt was that if you stay around long enough, you get whupped'.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom AJ put to sleep. Face down ASS up lol.
Anthony Joshua is going to be out of action for the rest of 2025 and will only be taking tune up fights in 2026. He lied about his fake injury to duck the Dubois rematch. Now he's milking Fury's name for attention.
Anthony Joshua is only using Fury's name to duck risky heavyweights like Dubois, Kabayel, Wardley, Hrgovic, Miller etc. If Fury announced a comeback, Joshua would find another excuse to swerve him. But he' going to milk Fury's name for attention for now.
Enjoy

But then the division would be filled with absolute garbage.big lennox wrote: ↑14 May 2025, 07:56 I hope Fury stays retired and I wish Uysk, Wilder and AJ would retire as well.
Dubois is a bitch who quit by a jab and then spent months whining that his punch to the balls didnt count as a KO
Parker is a slow plodder
Okolie a cruiserweight
Gassiev lost to Otto Wallin
Wardley initially drew to Fraser the Eraser
It's a division of bums. Take Usyk and Fury out and there is not a single world level fighter remaining. Joshua & Wilder are now completely shot so I agree, they should retire.

Re: Fury retires........yawn
He is the best of the bunch and is who I would like Usyk to finish with, or if Fury has another fight--to face next. Forget a rematch with Dubois--who cares? Kabayel is the next best in the division and who I am actually interested in seeing how good he actually is. Good win over Zhang, but Zhang is basically just hands of concrete rather than being a good boxer.
But once Fury and Usyk are gone. That is a very weak division.

It's not just Fury and Uysk teetering on retirement though.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑19 May 2025, 11:13He is the best of the bunch and is who I would like Usyk to finish with, or if Fury has another fight--to face next. Whyte, Ruiz, Chisora, Joshua, Zhang, Joyce, Ortiz, are just a few more we might see gone by year's end.
