Yea. The last round you could give. But other than that there wasn’t a close round.gilgamesh wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:30Yeah it's just giving a guy rounds for no reason. Makes it look like the judge is just scoring rounds arbitrarily.gregregegg wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:29 It dosent matter, kinda… but I feel like 117 is a really bad score card.

It's funny how if the entire Nakatani bout had remained as good for him throughout as it began in the early going, he probably would've went into the Inoue fight as a pretty live underdog.
Based on their performances today though. I'd think Inoue is going to be at least 5 to 1 if not higher.

Cus he’s made 4 ring defences in one calendar year.gregregegg wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:31 Why did he just give him another ring belt? What the fvck was that.
Been a busy year for him.
Matched a 41-year record which was held by Larry Holmes.

Whether or not we're all on the same page that Inoue is P4P #1, I'd think he surely has to be this year's Fighter of the Year right?
4 title defenses this year. That's rare in this era for guys to do that.

Yea he looked amazing early, But what got him was mauling pressure, not somthing we will see from inoue. It will be sharp shooting pressure which suits Nakatani more.gilgamesh wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:40 It's funny how if the entire Nakatani bout had remained as good for him throughout as it began in the early going, he probably would've went into the Inoue fight as a pretty live underdog.

He will still be a dog, but a live dog I think given inoue gets hit a bit.
(He was paying 3.50 befor tonight ((so bet 1 dollar and get your dollar back plus 2.50 profit back))…
I think it will move out to 4:50ish

MJ was class. The other 3 wernt.
I’d give it to Crawford. Step way up there, no hydration clauses no nothing win it. Retire. That’s fornicating class. One fight, but quality over quantity.
Re: Naoya Inoue vs. David Alan Picasso | RING V - December 27, 2025
Hey by the way you guys, what would you say have been Inoue's key wins in his career? My knowledge on this weight range has admittedly been a little rusty.
I knew Donaire so I considered those fights to be big, but what are his other wins that would've been considered to be his biggest up to this point?
Oh, and after Nakatani loses to Inoue, I'd advise him to go back down to 118

Yeah it's a tough call between those 2, but those are the only 2. Usyk beating Dubois again surely doesn't get him the nod. Nobody else would even be in the conversation right?gregregegg wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:49MJ was class. The other 3 wernt.

Before that he was a couple punches away from losing to Madrimov though.gregregegg wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:49 MJ was class. The other 3 wernt.

Inoue is being very active and fighting all kinds of different styles. He Bud would've done the same, he might've lost already.
Inoue is definitely above him on my ranking (not that anybody cares about my opinion..)

Not sure how Nakatani's opponent passed a piss test. Unlimited stamina.

I must have missed that part of the fight. Was Inoue down? Was he near helpless on the ropes against a barrage of punches?Sendo Takeshi wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:56 Before that he was a couple punches away from losing to Madrimov though.

“Before that he was a couple punches away from losing to Madrimov though”….
I don’t think that means what you think it means. You
realize that you’re NOT TALKING ABOUT BUD. You think you’re punking INNOUE about Madrimov… they NEVER FOUGHT. That’s how dumb you are… NO ONE IS SMART ENOUGH TO PRETEND THIS.

Terrance Crawford safely, accurately and intelligently beat the mess out of Madrimov.

Just looked it up: This year, Inoue beat the current ring #2, #3 and #5 (beat the current #1 before already and I believe MJ was #1 before their fight). The only outlier is the korean dude, who was a late replacement for Goodman (who was the #1 contender).Sendo Takeshi wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:56Before that he was a couple punches away from losing to Madrimov though.gregregegg wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025, 10:49 MJ was class. Canelo is no longer the boogeyman people use him as.
He’s slower, more selective, and clearly managing decline. Beating him today is not the same achievement it was in 2018–2021. Using Canelo as the gold standard in 2025 is outdated thinking.

Imagine saying that after being dominated for 12 straight rounds, especially when your opponent fought with his hands at his waist just to provoke you to fight.Alan Picasso says he expected more dangerous, difficult fight from Naoya Inoue

I wonder if May isn't too soon to come back for such a big fight after all that. That's probaly ~2 months "break".

Considering he had a way easier fight than the guy he's gonna be fighting, I'd say he'll be fine.Sendo Takeshi wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025, 12:50I bet he is haha. Some of us get tired checking mails.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025, 11:36

Can't knock everyone out.
Inoue is just a fabulous fighter, p4p No1 and a genuine ATG in the making.

I agree, he is definitely an ATG already.
He became the Japanese champ after 4 fights, the OPBF champ after 5 (which is a big deal there), and a world champafter 6.
Even before moving up his current weight-class he was great, after moving up and doing what he did solidified his legacy.
The greatest Japanese fighter, one of Asias best, and an all-time great in the lower weight divisions.
I kinda sound like a fanboy, but he is just that good.
