I'm afraid not, check out fightnews.... Eric Lucas (Eric is president of Interbox - a big fight promoter in Canada) say they have no intention of putting Hilton on a bill, and certainly not a match up with the two former world champions. Also, Yvon Michel of GYM promotions has said he will not use Hilton either.

But still the report says he is due for "immenent release" and a comeback is very "possible".

I wouldn't mind seeing Calzaghe give him the mother of beatings.

I mean Calzaghe-Hilton. A PR disaster.

Oh yes, I completely agree. Still wouldn't mind Joe giving him a beating.

It would be a PR disaster and not competitive, and it was a joke cause I know there is probably more of a chance that Steve Robinson is in the opposite corner than Hilton.

Isn't this date right on the weekend of the World Cup final? Who would pay attention anyway?

I reckon they will move it to mid or late JUly, but then there will be lots of punters on holiday.

On an aside, I am a bit surprised Graham Brett is getting involved in this slanging match. I know he is fond of Warren but these posts especially from pepsi are trivial.

Graham, pepsi must only be a child, go easy on him. :TU:

Has nobody wondered why HBO didn't look to make Hopkins/Calzaghe? Hopkins is bumbling up to 175 and he's a natural career middleweight ...

Calzaghe has been available for weeks, is with HBO now, is marketable, and only 1 division above Bernard. Calzaghe wouldn't get much bigger paydays if he actually went to America to fight, and there aren't many bigger ones out there anyway so Warren would be an idiot for refusing. (Calzaghe would probably outwork Hopkins anyway)

For Hopkins, its one last hurrah and payday against an exciting 'newcomer' to the world stage.

It's a natural

I didn't know Graham was an ex-fighter - and a good one at that... I'm sorry for going OTT... It is just that not everyone who says anything less than cosmic about FW is on Hobson's payroll...
